I have that same grip and pommel!
I just finished doing the same thing as you with black enamel just yesterday! I did it one stripe at a time.
Your setup looks great!
I bought mine with an integrated emitter/switch piece just because I had an extra core laying around.
I'm just about "finished" with another hilt that I used the same methods on. I pieced it together like you did. I hope mine comes out looking as good.
I know what you mean by using it as a display piece now. Mine keeps getting closer and closer to the wall mount lol.
I am waiting for a proffie core I ordered from Vire Sabers. I really don't know what to expect from proffie that's different from xenopixel but it will be fun to experiment with my new frankensaber.
Where did you source your parts?
Thanks! I didn't do anything too special, just made sure it came out nicely. :)
Got the hilt off LGT store on Aliexpress (which was an ordeal... They sent me the wrong hilt twice, usb-c, I needed round port)
I believe proffie is top product for customization as far as lights/sounds/controls.
So now I have 2 of that same hilt in black, no cores or blades for them... Potential dual wield or double bladed project. But Id sell them cheap if anyone wants them.
Huh, I am 99.69% sure that is a AusVire control box. Didn't think people would be reselling them.
It’s not
I checked, the stuff "under the hood" of the box isnt quite similar to the AusVire photos online. I do admit though the shape looks very similar.
But... Could be an older version perhaps?
Ordered a cheaper hilt in silver as a practice/spinner hilt with old RGB core. A few layers of paint later and a control box off Etsy, now its a display piece (and I need a new spinner). :)
Awesome. Which control box off Etsy? I think I need a saber I don’t mind dropping
The one from StupedKyber. Shop sells it WITH a button-charger hilt piece for 20$ + shipping. Awesome deal.
(Mind you, I just added the box to this hilt abd kept the spare hilt part for later.)
