Cabergoline and Growth Hormone/igf-1?
Hey, I recently started taking cabergoline at 0,25mg/week. My question is how cabergoline changes the serum of growth hormone and serum of igf-1. Does it lower or highers the growth hormone and igf-1? Really want to know :)

It doesn’t effect growth hormone. It suppresses prolactin. I had a tumor large enough that it was also secreting small amounts of GH1, and as the tumor shrank that stopped. Normally, however, having a prolactinoma will not effect GH1. Occasionally people have tumors that are “dual” tumors that produce both prolactin and GH1, but my understanding is those are not treated with dopamine agonists like cabergoline.
