A Good Son?
He wore the apron
That his dad baked in
And he threw the bowl
Used for apple pie
His fury left brown stains
No bonus this time
Now, don't quiet quit
He said, while baking
And set out to write
About his anger
Cooking in dad's stead
All mean spirited
Without a ticket
To paradise him
His thoughts wandered here
Take a bullet train?
He felt everything
Everywhere and now...
All at once it hit
The self hatred rammed
And the questions start
Was he Pinocchio?
About being good?
A good son for dad?
He wore the apron
That his dad baked in
And he threw the bowl
Used for apple pie
His fury left brown stains
No bonus this time
Now, don't quiet quit
He said, while baking
And he wrote anger
And he decided
His actions spoke loud
Louder than his words
