Best Practices for VNC Server on KVM Virtual Machines?
I just started messing with KVM and ended up confusing the heck out of myself.
I have two computers call them: rhel-kvm-host and centos-vm.
I installed KVM and Tiger VNC on rhel-kvm-host. I deployed centos-vm atop KVM on rhel-kvm-host.
In order to manage centos-vm graphically, I was having to use a VNC Client on my laptop to connect to rhel-kvm-host. Then I would open Virtual Machine Manager and connect to centos-vm over the Virtual Machine Manager graphical console.
I thought it'd be easier to use VNC Client to connect directly to centos-vm. So, I installed TigerVNC on centos-vm. VNC Server works but I ended up breaking Virtual Machine Manager graphical console. Did I make an obvious mistake? Should I have done something differently?
Also, I noticed VMs in Virtual Machine Manager have a VNC Display adapter. Can I use this adapter as a VNC Server for VNC clients on remote computers? Something tells me this VNC Display adapter is for the Virtual Machine Manager graphical console and strictly that
