Cheap soft start for 12 HP motor ?

Hi everyone this is my first post ever. I am currently building a hydralic press and i am 95% done. I have fitted a 12 HP motor to the hydralic pump. Now i am fully aware that the inrush current are alot higher than rated. In sweden its not recommended to DOL start a motor above 4 Kw / 6 HP.

But i am never ever gonna be able to afford a proper soft starting device for this 12 HP motor. Is it possible to use ntc Thermistors to achieve a soft start? If so how should they be connected? In series with each phase? The motor is rated at 27 amps.
