Bank of Canada Governor Tiff Macklem spoke yesterday about a potential Canadian central bank digital currency (CBDC). Next year the bank plans to consult the public on a potential CBDC. Particularly they want to find out what the public’s expectations of a digital currency and what features would be important to them.
And I am sure the "public" will say to link it to carbon credits and make it easily withdrawn based on social media activity or political views.
Or it will be a survey where all options for answers show some level of support for CBDC.
No question on that. I do Angus Reid surveys regularly and not supporting government initiatives is never an option, it’s all in what they can do to get you to support it.
I used to get survey calls from the City's third party co and would always do them. Then on a particular one, I realized towards the end that the questions had led me down a path, and that was my last survey. Now I tell them not interested.
My expectation is fuck off, no thank you and shove it up your ass, "Tiff".
Never using this. I’m already very apprehensive about using banks after the tyrant decided to freeze accounts. I’m never using a government endorsed crypto
sorry but consulting the public isn't the "development phase" that's the "requirements gathering phase".
