Bio: A Charismatic Leader, a dashing thief and poet, Krydle is the quintessential rogue with a heart of gold. A resident of Baldur's Gate, Krydle rejects the upper city political machinations of his estranged father Coran, but nevertheless has familiarity of the city's nobles and their schemes, as well those of the city's criminal network. Certainly a handy chap to know...
Basic Attack: Reverse Pickpocket — Krydle attacks a random enemy with his daggers. While doing so, he reverse pick-pockets a smokepowder bomb onto their person, which explodes for extra damage after 3 seconds if the enemy is not killed in the meantime.

Ultimate: Distracted Strike — Krydle appears from the shadows behind a random enemy and brutally backstabs it for massive damage. The damage of this attack is increased by 200% for each Hero of Baldur's Gate in the formation (stacking multiplicatively).

##Interesting Abilities
From the Shadows: Increase the damage of all Champions in the back two columns of the formation by 100%
- 1.69e09% after upgrades; Supported by an Item & Feats
Evasion: Krydle begins every area with stacks of Evasion equal to his Overwhelm. When Krydle gets attacked, as long as he has at least 1 stack of Evasion left, he dodges the attack completely and uses up 1 stack of Evasion. Krydle restores 2 stacks of Evasion every second for each Healing Champion in the formation. Number of stacks can not surpass his Overwhelm. If a boss or enemies are enraged, max stacks are divided by the enrage multiplier, rounded down.
- No upgrades
Gaar's Note: This is his primary tanking ability and relies solely on Overwhelm, not health, to keep him alive. Krydle is not a tank if he has no Evasion stacks, so keep that in mind when setting him up and building his formation.
Overwhelming Odds: Krydle gains 5 Overwhelm for each Heroes of Baldur's Gate Champion in the formation

Charismatic Leader: Krydle increases the effect of From the Shadows by 100% for each Champion with the Heroes of Baldur's Gate affiliation or a CHA score of 15 or higher, stacking multiplicatively.

Gaar's Note: As we all know, multiplicatively is the good way so he's now a solid part of a full HOBG formation.
Look Out!: Krydle reduces the damage taken by other Champions in the formation by 75%, assuming he has at least one stack of Evasion and is in the front-most column of the formation

#Formation & Mission Information
In a Time Gate, you will be given two basic adventures and one variant to complete, along with being granted access to Free Plays. They all use a formation that holds 10 Champions. They have a Champ-specific format that I've done my best to re-create below.

New Player Formation & Specializations:
While I recommend learning to build your own formations, here's a set of starter formations for brand new players to use while they get the hang of things. Anyone with other options should check that link for how to figure out how to make the best of them. You can also ask for help in the #formations channel in the official Discord.

This formation is for the first couple of runs where you're just not going to get enough Gold to get everyone on the field, let alone level people up into their power curves. At this point, Jarlaxle is focusing on being your Primary DPS while everyone else is set up to support him.
The following formation is for once your Hitch starts doing more damage than your Jarlaxle. You can find this out by pulling Asharra out of the formation and swapping Jarlaxle and Hitch around to see whose damage is better. If Hitch is higher, next run change Asharra's Spec to buff Hitch instead.

This formation should get you through the Time Gate as a new player. If you have other options or think a different DPS is geared better, try it out and see what happens! Swapping DPS around like this can help you figure out what works best for you with your specific items.
These are the rough Favor values you need to reach to make a Variant say Difficulty: Easy. Keep in mind that this is just a generic rating system and some Variants may be harder than others, even with Favor in this range.

Once you've done the first two missions, you then have to complete the variant the Time Gate gave you. If you've never done any of them, you'll get one at random. If you've done one, you'll get one of the other two you haven't done before. If you've done two of them before, you're guaranteed to get the one you haven't done. If you've done all three before, you get one at random.

Info: Krydle starts out in slot 4 and can not be moved, removed, or swapped out. Only Champions with a Charisma (CHA) score of 12-16 can be used.
Gaar's Notes: This is a bit of a Legacy Restriction as he doesn't buff like this anymore, so you're just gonna have to run with it. Newer players will want to make sure they have at least e08 Favor before starting this and even more if you can't fill a full formation.

Complete all three variants of the "The Grandfather Acorn (Krydle)" adventure. (This achievement can be earned via Time Gates.)
Raid the Shopping District - 1%
Obtain a piece of gear for each of Krydle's six equipment slots. (Event Champ gear does not come from regular Silver/Gold Chests. You can earn Event Champ gear from their specific Event Chests, Time Gates, qualifying Patron Chests, and other Chests as noted.)
Ironman - 1%
Complete area 275 in any "The Grandfather Acorn" free play. (This achievement can only be earned during the The Running Event, but it can be earned in any Champion's free play.)
Can't Touch This - 1%
Have Krydle be overwhelmed for 60 seconds straight without taking damage.
Gaar's Note: I hope you have a lot of healers. You may also want the Overwhelm Feats. Then just get to a high area where he gets overwhelmed and find the sweet spot.
