A bit of whiplash from 3 comics ago where Claire could see Evan and was saying "well I don't want to go running and screaming yet" to actually talking to Evan and jumping straight to "ok, we're running and screaming".
But other than the whiplash, I think this is a good development over Claire just responding to everything in a snippy way. Still on course for Marten moving there while Claire moves back and becomes the main character, though.
Honestly, if "we're leaving" was changed to "I'm leaving", this would entirely work without him.
Claire referring to herself as the royal we wouldn't be too far of a jump to be honest.
Either that or she's talking to one of her alter egos.
why in the heck did she take Aurelia along with her?!?!
It actually remains true because Marten never existed. He is just a figment of her imagination, which is why throughout this arc he is not seen interacting directly with anyone other than Claire.
So the whole comic before Claire shows up is basically just a computer simulation to keep Marten from recognising he's just a construct?
It's like I'm Thinking of Ending Things but zany
