Hey Strangers!

Colts fan intruding, but also an Arizona native.. I just wanted to come here and start a mini discussion with you Niners fans, as I will be rooting for you throughout the season.

But the MAIN THING I wanted to come have a chat about was Brock Purdy! I went to his rival school, a little before he was there, I was at Basha (who just won their first state championship) and he was at Perry. My cousin played on the team and my best friend is a high school football coach, needless to say, so I have watched A LOT of film and high school games. I am way more invested in high school football than a 30+ year old should be.. But Brock Purdy is a LEGEND at Perry, He was one of the most loved athletes to come out of AZ lately, and we brought y'all Terrell Suggs and Spencer Rattler. But his leadership, skill and football IQ was always a talking point. He went to Iowa State and picked up where he left off. He was a LEADER, played the game well and was loved by his teammates. TRUE LEADER, none of that BS Russell Wilson nonsense. He has a great family, very athletic! Y'all should start rooting for Chubba Purdy (Little brother) who is at Nebraska. But I have been telling people that this kid will get compared to Tom Brady ever since his first appearance. And I'm saying that because of where he was drafted and how he will never be the best arm/legs in the NFL, but he WILL lead and he WILL prepare, 6-Ps, Proper Preparation Prevents Piss Poor Performance.

And the 6-Ps are what makes Kyle Shanahan great.. He is going to build this team into a dynasty, TOP 5 coach and I admire everything he does!

LETS GO NINERS!

I'm sorry that they let you down, Honestly was a rough one, but adding losses isn't the worst thing in a dead season.

As a Vols fan I moved the Colts to my number 2 team during the Manning years. Wish they would have pulled it out today.

Cool story! Just so you know, most of us are rooting for the Colts as well. We want that #2 seed. The thing I really like about Purdy is his mindset. He sees where he messed up and moves on. That first drive against Seattle had some mess ups and, well, we see what ended up happening. It'll be a ride to see in the off season if Purdy goes to the SB

Actually I think, Purdy's footwork and scrambling ability under pressure is pretty underrated. His arm hasn't looked stellar but that's never been his strength and he's been playing hurt. There were lots of rumours that Lance was unimpressive in camp and that Purdy had impressed. The locker room seems to love him more than Lance and even KS has been more aggressive in the playcalling with Purdy, especially vs Tampa Bay. This kid seems like a natural QB and leader and we're all pretty excited. I just hope the Franchise doesn't just hand the QB1 spot to Lance like they tried to do this off season. If Purdy maintains this level and say we make the SB, he has to be QB1

It is very underrated, but it isn't in the elite category like Jackson, Fields or Hurts. Its more methodical. Not trying to burn anyone, kinda of a little more like Herbert/ Mahomes style.

You mention Rattler. Well in QB1 Beyond the Lights, we see Rattler's team take on Purdy's. The camera was obviously following Rattler's team but we do get some footage of BCB.

Rattler and Purdy don’t belong in the same sentence. Once shows maturity and wisdom beyond his years. The other one was a cocky asshole who deserved to be brought down to earth.

Hopefully he embraced humility.

This is actually spot on.. If Rattler grows up a little and show maturity through these tough times (to his standard) he can come out and be a good NFL QB, but he doesn't have what Brock has had since high school. People forget that this kid, Rattler, has been told how good he was from such a young age. He was in the spotlight as a freshman out here. and he also played two sports at the varsity level as a freshman.

Curious what Purdy looks like at his worst. He was accomplished at ISU, but clearly had some physical limitations. Seems to have enough arm so long as you don't ask him to heave 50 yard throws

FSU and Niner fan here. I appreciate your insight but get out of here with your Chooba nonsense. As 2nd string, Bro jumped in the Portal with 3 games left in the year to head to Nebraka because he wasnt getting run. I get it, he was recruited highly and wants to play. Well, he isnt gonna be eligible last year anyway, so why leave then? He left his team out to dry with a 3rd string, a cripple and a walk on at QB. Sure enough the starter misses time and FSU misses a bowl when he could have made a difference. QB is a leadership position and he is far from his brother. Ni e to see him lose the starting job at Nebraska this year, we'll deserved for that kid.
