Can someone sell me on Avengers: The Gathering?

It features a lot of Vision, Hercules, Black Knight, & Sersi, has 30th anniversary Avengers specials, & a crossover with the X-Men called “Bloodties”.
Would you recommend it? I don’t know anything about black knight or sersi so I’m guessing this would be a good place to get to know them?
I liked the omni, but I have nostalgia blinders on, as I’d read the series off & on at the time they came out. I will say they’re very much of their time, so how you feel about the 90s peak speculator era will probably play a good part into whether or not you’d enjoy it.
I haven’t read a ton of Dane Whitman Black Knight to recommend other series, Sersi can also be found in the Kirby, Gaiman & modern runs of Eternals. I don’t think you’d be lost in getting to know those characters with this book, though.
At least it's not The Crossing?

No
It's certainly better than the Crossing but I compare the Gathering to the Onslaught omni - unless you have a pre-existing appreciation for the story then I'd be surprised if you would like it. It's SUPER 90s and it was a different book then (as any book would be after so many decades) so I'd at the very least suggest giving it a sample in Marvel Unlimited before plunking down omni-level money.
It's a surprisingly good Avengers 90s arc
