An owl and a tree
A landscape that is filled with big trees
With tough leaves and strong branches
A trunk made with heavy aged wood
Unbreakable roots that spread to the soils of Earth
There lies an owl
Seeing all with its big eyes but remains silent
Internalizing
She has her favorite tree
Her safety and security
There she finds her peace
When she leaves her tree
To eat, explore, to exist
Branches of other trees fall unto her
Weighing her down
She carries the weight with her short arms
Careful not to drop them in other trees' way
On her way back to her home tree
The one who loves her
Homes her
Carries her to sleep every night
With a gentle wind
And warmth within its leaves
She makes sure that the weight
Of the other trees
Doesn't weigh down
Her home tree.
