Weird mouse I discovered, I know nothing about it. The weight seems reasonable, given the number of buttons. The fact its customizable is extremely rare, I only know of the MAD CATZ range and this one seems to be more customizable than those. Tempted to buy it just to see WTF it brings to the table. Price (here in Aus) seems reasonable. Thoughts?
Fascinating. I'm not a hardcore mouse guy (I'm generally very interested in input peripherals, hence r/PeripheralDesign, but I don't really play mouse games anymore), but something about this strikes me as interesting. Could a design like this act as a "test bed" for an individual to try different shapes easily & discover what they prefer? People love to say, "Just order a dozen mice and return the ones you don't like," but that's an extremely clunky process.
Here's a sneak peek of r/PeripheralDesign using the top posts of the year!

Yea, I understand. This mouse has a fear factor to it, even to me who collects diverse mice. A lot of this sub is 'here is my collection of a dozen mice' and I look at the pictures, thinking to myself its impressive someone was able to find that many mice that look so incredibly similar to one another.
I actually just saw this mouse in a store today! The thumb buttons really dig into your thumb when you press them because they’re shaped like thin fins, so that was very uncomfortable. I could see someone getting used to the grey buttons beside LMB/RMB though.
I had the 700m and 550m back in the day. I actually was a cougar fan but haven’t kept up in a long ass time
I picked up this design from cougar a couple of years ago for fun. It was cheap at an electric market and I wanted to know if it was as terrible as it looks. It is. Probably worse in fact. As for this newer, upgraded version with clip on components my guess is it wouldn't be an improvement at all. The biggest problem was the shape and this looks like you clip stuff on to make it even worse to hold.

100g minimum weight. Jfc...
I have a sub 50g wired mouse (mm720) that has 7 buttons. If this weird mouse was only 7 buttons and weighed over 100g, I would not look twice at it. But its not. Its got more buttons and its customizable. I expect that to come at a weight cost.
But like why need that many buttons... And they aren't even easy to press like on a mmo mouse. It just seems like a heavily over-engineered madcatz type mouse.
Well, I play a FPS called Squad and use a 12 button mouse + Razer Orbweaver. Not even that combination covers all the different buttons you need, its insane. An MMO mouse with all those buttons under just your thumb would pretty much give me RSI in my thumb.
sounds like a skill issue
It should come with aim bot
