Finding Crashed Freighters

Answered

I'm currently playing through the Leviathan rerun and going through a ridiculous number of maps for distress signals. Is the only quicker way to unlock the Nautilon and associated scanner?

Go to a space station and check the terminus for player made bases. Should be at least one or two bases with “freighter” and/or “crash” in the base name.

This would have definitely been the easy way. 😂

If you can get to the Anomaly, you can get blueprints for all of the exocraft there.

I ended up getting the advanced sonar mod for the Nautilon and using that. It didn't take terribly long, but in hindsight, just looking through the list of player bases at a portal for a wrecked freighter would have been quicker for sure.

For future reference, when using maps to find a specific structure, don't clear the marker if they don't point to what you want. Just leave it. The maps will not point to a structure that's already marked. Just use another map. If it says 'structure already found', just try again. Repeat until you get what you want.
