Does anyone have a source for the Himalayan Wars?
According to the wiki, wind farms became too hard to maintain due to dust from "The Himalayan Wars." But I can't find any source details what happened in these wars. I'm particularly interested in this topic because Misty said she moved to Nepal at one point and I'm wondering if that was before, after, or during the wars.

The war happened in the late 2030s and early 40s, due to the amount of nuclear and bio weapons used it caused the sky to turn a blood red.
So misty intentionally moved to Nepal despite it being a hellscape... strange
Misty is like, twenty, no? She'd have been there way after the war.

The dust from the war is making wind farms unusable in 2077. Nepal itself has to be in much worse condition than NC in the time of RED
the atmospheric dust doesn't itself make the wind farms unusable, it's the dust resulting in a huge increase in hurricanes and sandstorms that seem to be the problem, making both wind and solar power unreliable/uneconomic. Sandstorms would damage solar panels and wind turbines, the resultant extra maintenance requirements would make them too expensive, for example.
The Himalayan wars might not necessarily have been that bad in Nepal, but it's like... the Himalayas affect global weather patterns, they cause a big updraft of air into the jetstream that then distributes that air globally.
So, a conflict somewhere in the Himalayas, more likely on the south or west side, and a whole lot of dust gets lofted into the atmosphere and spread globally as a result.
Dunno whether the Himalayan Wars would have been part of the 4th Corporate War, or more recent though. Would likely have involved some nuclear weapons at ground level, to create the dust that then gets lofted into the upper atmosphere.
Hmm then I am not sure. The general Time of the Red is named so for the red tinge in the sky from the 4th corporate war (2023) but by 2045 when Cyberpunk Red takes place the red sky is now only a dim glow during twilight periods.
So maybe The Himalayan Wars were more recent? I think there's time for them in the mid 2070s sometime. That would give Misty time to have gone to Nepal at 18 or 22 before a war that would still have a local atmospheric effect.
