Tbh as someone with an intense innate fear of all insect type creatures, my first thought was I’d panic reliving having lots of slugs on me or something. Like the dwarf showed up and a tree just rained down a bunch of snails onto it

I'm the same with spiders, and tbh if the first thing that happened to me after arriving someplace was being swarmed by spiderinos, I'd be pretty sour for the rest of my time at that place too.

I can see that being a thing.
Alas, this was a completely treeless, bushless embark on a mountain-desert region and all the snails were clearly visible from many meters away through the short mountain grass.
Ushrir is right to be afraid of the surface creatures, but I am surprised he was willing to go on the journey to begin with.
