Versatile Breed Advice

I’m looking to get a new pup come spring time here & looking to get a versatile breed. Here’s some quick info on myself:

I mainly hunt to lower the grocery bill so I try to get out often. Mainly I’m hunting small game; squirrels, rabbits, occasionally coons & hoping to get on some birds for the first time by myself once the pup is ready as my buddies & their dads I’ve been out with & talked to seem to be able to hunt pretty steady throughout the year just on different birds. I live in Ontario in Canada so winters are a bit cold. Now the obvious choice is gonna be a Drahthaar but my lady & I would prefer a smaller breed if possible as I already have a Dutch shepherd & a bulldog who I take out now to flush game for me & I don’t have the ability to house dogs outside which makes me not want to go with a Jagd because every one I’ve ever met has been a nightmare house dog.

Figured I’d ask here, is there gonna be anything that’ll reliably take birds while also having the grit to engage a coon & that’s also down around 40 lbs ish or will I probably have to get a draht? & what good draht kennels or kennels of your suggested breed should I look into? Appreciate any answers ahead of time thx
