I might be buying this backpack for college but I’m uncertain if it’ll fit my asus tuf a16, does anyone have any experience with this? The bag’s dimensions are 35.4 x 26.9 x 1.79 ~ 2.57 cm. Does this mean I don't even have to take the interview, and I'm almost guaranteed to get in?

I am planning a trip with a few of my friends this March, and we're planning to go hiking somewhere near Tokyo. To me, the Mount Odake hike, the Senzoku route specifically, seems ok, but we're slightly worried about the prospects of too much snow near the top, so we're not sure how much equipment we actually have to bring. If this trail is really not recommended at this time, then are there any other hikes near Tokyo that'll let us see some light snow while hiking?
