Just upgraded from 2016 MacBook to M5 air. I abused my old Mac and had hundreds of different just sitting aimlessly on the desktop with no organization. Would like to avoid those mistakes here and fix this so it doesn’t make my computer slower.

I started by throwing everything into one folder on my desktop.

Does anyone have any advice on automated, quick, or intuitive ways to start making some progress of getting everything categorized and organized?

My 2017 MacBook finally died yesterday after receiving a coffee bath at work.

I am looking to get a MacBook Pro that has at least 16G Ram, and preferably 1 TB storage.

I predominantly use it for music production and recording, video editing, work, and would like to game on it some if possible.

I am not sure the amount of value each M series chip adds and I also struggle understanding how much variety in performance the cores/gpu gives.

I was looking to finance this in monthly payments (have to have it rn for work and current clients) through either back market or Best Buy. I know some here have expressed concerns in back markets practices.

Would anyone with a sire Z3 or Z7 be down to take the pick guard off and send me or post a picture of the bass without the guard? Looking to buy one but need to see it w/ out the guard first.

Alsoooo regarding the pickups, are there any other basses you would say the pickups sound similar to?

Wanted to check in with other Imm sim lovers who might be stuck in Mac land.

What games have worked well on your machine, what hasn’t worked well, what are the best Mac offerings and what are some hidden gems?

Stuck on this old Mac for a while so wanted to see what I might be able to get into other than running Deus Ex through crossover.

I am an electric bass player and one of the tunes I have a solo on at an upcoming gig has some odd changes that I can’t seem to quite nail.

I have solo’d over these changes at a past gig but never feel like I wind up playing anything that really contextualizes the chords.

Looking for any thoughts advice or insight on how to approach these bad boys. Each chord is held out for a whole measure, and the last two for half a measure.

Just got myself a sweet ass reverend decision p and it came loaded up with rounds strung through the body

I have some labella flats I want to throw on there but they are through the bridge style

The reverend has the option to string it either way

What I was wondering is if I switch it from through body to through bridge will this impact my set up and all that? Would that be likely to cause a need for adjustments or is it a pretty 1 for 1 switch out?

Would love to know what flats everyone prefers and why they do prefer them.

I have deus ex GOTY running in crossover. I cannot figure out how to add mods or adjust things. I know this is dumb but I could use a bit of advice or help as this is all new to me.

I have been playing a Fender Mexi J Bass with flats for 15 years and while I love it and will probably never sell it in 1 million years I really need to add some diversity since this is the only bass I own.

I am looking for something that can get close to that bridge pick up J bass sound, but has more diversity in general. And maybe active electronics, haven’t been that route before.

I currently l play live pretty often and play a lot of funk, jazz adjacent stuff, fusion, rnb, soul and neo soul. I’m very inspired by bass players and tones like Pino and Rocco, Rocco Prestia, Joe Dart, Michael League, Jamerson, Chris Wood, Zac Cockrell, Chuck Rainey, Nick Campbell.

I am absolutely desperate to replay these games as they were my favorites of my childhood and I cannot stop watching YouTube videos about them now. I’ve noticed there are quite a few physical copies going for sale on Amazon and walmart.com and wanted to check with you all and see if there was anything I should look out for or be wary of while looking to pick up a copy of this bad ass collection.
