Every expansion since Stormblood has had certain characters representing new jobs. One of the two jobs are represented by a Scion, and the other by either the WoL or a different character.

For Evercold; the WoL, Alphinaud, and Estinien are obviously out because they're already in the trailer. Krile is out too because she recently became a Pictomancer, and I would also say G'raha is out too because he's an all-rounder.

That just leaves Alisaie, Y'shtola, Thancred, and Urianger.

Out of all these characters, I think Y'shtola is the likeliest to get a job change. She's the only Scion that doesn't represent an actual playable job (she went from Conjurer to Sorceress, like how Alphinaud went fr

So the Ascian at the end is almost certainly a female Highlander, yeah?

The biggest giveaway of this is the way their arms move while standing still. Female Highlanders for some reason breathe like they just got done running a marathon, while every other race is just static or only lightly moving.

There’s also the way their legs move when they show up. A bit less obvious to discern, as they do a slower walk than usual, but they have their legs closer together like most of the female races do, so there’s that.

Unfortunately, this doesn’t tell us a whole lot as Convocation titles obviously aren’t gendered, but it’s nice to know. The only other Ascian we’ve seen who was a female Highlander
