This will be the first time I've ever paid off a major purchase, so I'm pretty proud of myself.

I currently owe $2,392.76 on my truck, and my monthly payment is $619. The payoff quote I received is $2,397.11.

I have $6,939.74 in savings.

I'm trying to decide whether it makes sense to pay off the truck now and be done with the loan, or keep making the monthly payments and maintain a larger cash cushion.

A few questions:

  • Would you pay it off now in my situation?
  • Are there any downsides to paying it off early when the balance is this low?

Thanks for any advice. This is my first time reaching the finish line on a vehicle loan, so I'm excited but want to make the smartes

Starting a master list of all feeder rides for the 2026 Crash Marathon here. If you’re organizing one, drop the details below (meet-up spot, time, pace, distance, etc.) so we can keep everything in one place.

Also, if anyone knows of feeder rides coming from the Pasadena / Sierra Madre area, please share.

Thank you.

Hello I bought a Tempo Aliente R5 Saddle from backcountry but they were taking too long to ship, so I cancelled the order and see what kind of deals are going on this weekend or this week. Im looking for something similar for comfortable 60+ rides on a fixed gear , my budget is $100.

Thank you in advance

Location: Los Angeles , California

My friends and I were victims of a hit-and-run while riding our bikes. The local media had coverage of the incident, but it is against the rules to share the video. After four weeks, we finally managed to track down the car involved.

Some of my friends, who suffered more serious injuries, have already retained legal representation. In my case, I wasn’t physically injured, but the driver ran over my bike. I’m looking to have it replaced.

Since we have the car and owner’s information, and my bike is valued between $600 and $900, I’m wondering if it’s worth pursuing this in small claims court or if I should just take the loss. Also do I include all the fees

I have 10 hours of court-ordered volunteer work to complete, but it must be at a non-profit organization. I'm having trouble finding opportunities for tomorrow or this weekend. Many places I've found require me to email them, and I'm currently waiting for their responses. Do you know of any places accepting walk-ins? I would be extremely grateful.

I know there are many opportunities to volunteer and help those affected by the fires, but many of them are not 501(c) organizations.

Thank you in advance!
