So I initially planned to go

Apply now to post bacc

Jan 2027 work full time as a medical assistant until school starts

May/june 2027 quit MA job and go full time student while scoring light volunteer hours on weekends.

Graduate may 2028

Take mcat June 2028 with 4-6 weeks of prep and score a 505-510 with the classes doing most of the prep (org chem, bio chem, and physics are my final classes)

Apply in mid-late July 2028

Problem is 6 months of MA job probably doesnt give me a letter of rec. what are my options? I’m beginning to see a gap year is basically unavoidable…

I want to do a pre-med post bacc, but the idea of doing org 2 + physics 2 + bio chem all at the same time is already making my head spin. And i have a 3.2 gpa from undergrad in engineering, so I'd need to get a really high gpa in post bacc to make it in.

So when do i actually take the mcat? I won't have time in spring, so I could take it in july but then I don't get grades back till august... do I just apply in mid-august?

I’ve been trying out salsa and bachata for a month or two now. Pretty cool but both of the places I’ve tried so far had way more leads than follows. We end up just doing footwork all the time. Or I end up watching/mimicking a follow half the time. Cool and all but it is boring after a while.

Are there any schools or classes that are balanced/ tilted in the other direction? Specifically in the beginner/intermediate classes?

Theory regarding human “forms”

SpoilerWords of Radiance spoilers

So I finished part two of wor. I only listened to the audio book but now that I’m reading I keep seeing certain words capitalized for no reason. Like “Thrill” of battle. As if it’s a tangible thing. It got me thinking because now I’m looking at a scene of Adolin busting in on some soul caster guys and they apparently act really weird and creepy when they do it. Maybe humans/alethi go into forms just like parshendi do? I figured something like that might happen with kaladin but I hadn’t considered parshendi war form being “the thrill” or “soul caster form” being similar to parshendi work form. Just some thoughts I wanted to write down or share

What the heck is this magic system?

SpoilerWords of Radiance spoilers

I’m so confused. I’m at words of radiance shallan just convinced a bunch of deserters to help kill bandits and save a caravan. It says that she used light weaving presumably to make herself look beautiful, like give her nice fingernails and dress and stuff. I don’t understand. Did she use light weaving to turn the bottom of the boat into water as well? Was that soul casting? I don’t understand these powers and it seems like she is just thanos snapping reality to bend to her will.

Light weaving makes it sound like she’s manipulating the visuals of any specific object. But she was able to swim out from under the boat (with the help of the sea creature) so it’s not just appearances. Did she s

A lot of times I’ll be setting up a flank as tracer and my team is on the other side of the map. If I am behind enemy lines and can’t only see my team through walls, I’ll often just wait for our team’s health to drop low. But by then the fight’s usually already been decided.

I’ve tried also just looking at their silhouettes through walls, but then I end up going in while the team is just poking and not fully committed yet. This causes me to get focused by 3+ people and die.

Do you just “analyze” the silhouettes and can tell based on body language? Obviously comms could solve this issue, but most high elo gameplay I see seems to be able to tell without communicating.

I just got to the part where spook was burning in a mansion and”kelsier” helps him escape. Elend gets to be a mistborn. Spook gets to be a mistborn. Fuck it let’s bring dockson back and give him atium.

I assume kelsier is really just a manifestation of preservation or something, but man this spook thing better just be a temporary, pewter exclusive power up. The whole tin addict thing was such a cool twist for his character. I’d be disappointed if this enormous part of his development just got thrown out the window.

I’m so confused why this happened

SpoilerMistborn: Final Empire

I understand my questions will probably be answered later, but why the hell did kelsier just die without doing anything. He didn’t avoid, he didn’t use the eleventh metal, he didn’t fight, he just got bitch slapped across the face. Then stabbed right after. ?????? Bullshit he must have had a reason to be that stupid. He’s coming back later in the series isn’t he? “Ah but it was merely a flesh wound” or something idk. Maybe he doesn’t come back but they have to give some explanation. Did he use the eleventh metal and it overwhelmed his senses causing him to be stunned? I’d accept that. Maybe the eleventh metal isn’t real or his dosage wasn’t pure, they’ve mentioned that causes problems. But j

DISCLAIMER: this is my first playthrough please no spoilers.

The internet seems to still have conflicting opinions. I saw karlach bleeding out and couldn’t find a way to reach her when I was near Druid’s grove. I ended up proceeding with the Druid’s grove quest and eventually had the goblins launch a raid on the grove then betraying the goblins and siding with the tieflings. The internet provides conflicting opinions on whether I can still recruit her… I’ve almost completed the quest line (not rested yet, but I think once I do this quest is over). Some reports say once the city has been raided I can’t recruit her, some say it’s only if I kill a druid… part of me wants to look up how to jus
