I'm currently trying to give my character the ability to push off of objects and move in the other direction. When I do this on the ground I would like for them to initially push off of the ground very quickly but slow as they ascend. Eventually I want them to reach a point where they bob up and down.

Currently I've tried using both add force and add impulse on the character movement component. I've been applying the force / impulse on the tick.

If I set the value to low they don't get off the ground, but if I set it too high they going flying past where I want them to stop. In either case the character will start descending at a certain point and won't start re-ascending until they are a

I'm playing in a tournament this weekend and could use some advice on my play. I play as wolf and did a battle arena against a Wii Fit Trainer last night. We probably played around 15 games and I won about 10. Below are three replays, 2 losses 1 win. I put them in the order I would prefer feedback on. I'm elite smash btw in case that matters, have no idea what gsp the wft is.

My own critique is that I need to tech more, whiff less, throw out less smash attacks, and edge guard less. I also got hit by way too many projectiles although I will partially blame that on lag. Any other tips or expanding on those high level points would be appreciated.
