TIA, just wondering if anyone recently has been sent to a FQR ? Is it more likely to get a favorable decision or not ? 7-10 days is what they said but I guess my real question is are they more likely to overturn an approval or keep it the way it was sent up ?

My 2nd CE exam which was the latest X-ray is supposed to be the last thing needed before the DDS makes a decision and sends it up for review (SSA). My only question is when they say they are requesting medical records from medical sources…does it take 30 days to get the X-rays back ?

I want to thank everybody in advance and also apologize because this will be my second attempt to try to figure this number out. Has anyone seen this at step 3 in their portal ? If it isn’t some “shutdown”glitch could it hold any real expectation of a wait time ? That is over 4 years! Thank you for your responses.

I know I’ve read it before here but I have to ask, has anyone else seen 1,586 days as an average determination in the portal ? This has to be a glitch right? This shows up right as the shutdown occurs. A backlogged agency still wouldn’t take this long right ?

I have completed a CE exam 3 weeks ago and submitted the last of the medical records they have requested. So I thought I would be looking at a decision here in the next few weeks but they may need me to take an x-ray to look at something the CE Doctor discovered ? Just wondering if this happened to anyone else and if this in any way might have a positive outcome in my decision.

TIA, I received in the portal their request of medical documents (2nd request) from existing providers…this comes right after a CE exam. I’m just wondering if there is anything they want me to acquire ?

TIA, I just finished my exam which I thought went well. The Doctor said that’s it and your DE will get in touch with you in 4-6 weeks. Is this an indication that things are looking good or just a general comment most Dr’s say when leaving the office ?

I just viewed a YouTube video featuring “The Disability Yodaa”in which he somewhat eludes to the idea that ME’s actually want to push forward claims that meet MC’s approval…now I get that if it doesn’t meet rules and regulations, criteria and qualifications that the claim is denied but could there be good hearted people that actually want to see positive outcomes maybe ? Or maybe a quota or is it just bleak?

Just wondering if I at 58 who has the work credits needed with a 10th grade education and with type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and poor eyesight has a chance for initial approval? I’m a 30+ year big truck driver who had to surrender his class A license because my impairments are so uncontrolled that I couldn’t pass my DOT medical exam. I’m wondering again now with a little bit of my back story how some of the experienced people here would see this as favorable or not? TIA

Does anybody know if we as claimants need to remind DDS/ME examiner that this “grid strategy”is probably the best method for approval or do they work down all possible avenues ?It seems to me reading these posts that it takes a very long time to just get denied.TIA

Hello everyone, TIA, I have been at stage 3 in the initial phase and awaiting my CE exam next month. I am a 58 year old commercial driver of 20 years and have type 2 diabetes and hypertension. It’s getting so bad that I won’t be able to pass the DOT medical exams ( vision, blood pressure, sugar etc.) never graduated from high school and certainly have no transferrable skills. What can I expect with the internist at the CE exam and what chances of approval does someone in my shoes really have ? I have read comments and posts from others that make my impairments look nonexistent in comparison. I know it’s a long wait but just curious what you guys think ? Thx
