I can get a iPhone 18 Pro with Verizon for $4.99 a month for 36 months plus $79 in sales tax.

I am also debating keeping my 15 and paying $100 to replace the battery which is at 78%.

What is the better financial decision? I am staying with Verizon for at least the next 3 years so I don’t mind the commitment of staying with the bill credits.

I moved into a house that was built in 1955. The basement has drill holes in the popcorn ceiling. The seller had a projector etc mounted up there and removed it all before leaving. So now there’s just a bunch of holes. If there is asbestos in the ceiling, so I need to worry about those exposed drill holes if I’m not touching them? That room is my toddlers play room so I want to be safe.

I just bought a house with a screened in patio that needs work. All the 2x4 and 4x4 posts need to be repainted. A few need to be replaced due to rotting. All new screens need to be installed. The floor is a concrete slab that is peeling which needs to be stripped and repainted or sealed.

I’m looking to have it restored. I called several patio and deck companies who all said it his project is too small for them. I called handyman companies who say it’s too much for them. What type of contractor do I need to call? I am in New Jersey.

I have an iPhone 15 with $40 remaining in device payments. I chatted with a Verizon rep in the app who said he would upgrade me to an iPhone 17 Pro. He said Verizon would waive the $40 remaining balance and the $40 upgrade fee, I would only have to pay tax. He said I would receive 36 monthly bill credits of $30.55 so I wouldn’t have to pay anything for the 17 Pro and I could keep the 15 after Verizon pays it off.

He sent me a check out link that mentions nothing of bill credits, only that I owe 30.55 a month for 36 months for the new phone and mentioned nothing of my current iPhone 15. The estimated monthly bill was also much higher.

He said don’t worry about any of that, once I activate m

Honda is covered the replacement of both repairs on my Civic. Condenser was previously replaced in 2021 and shaft seal in 2024.

Are these new parts still prone to the failure or did they fix it? Debating selling the car so I don’t get stuck with a 3k AC replacement in a few years.

I bought a 2018 Civic with 100k miles from a Honda dealership on NJ in February. They said they did a full inspection, replaced tires, brakes, etc. Didn’t mention the AC. It was February so I couldn’t test it out.

As soon as it started getting hot out a couple months ago, realized the AC only blows hot. Took it in to a dealership who said the condenser needs to be replaced under warranty but it’s on back order until August. So now I’m sweating my ass off whenever I go anywhere. Just venting that Honda sold me this car and will go the whole summer without AC. I called every dealership around me and they all say the part is on back order.

I have a screened in patio that consists of 2x4 and 4x4 posts covered in screen on a concrete slab that is peeling. I need all of the posts repainted, a few posts replaced due to weather rotting, all screens replaced, and the floor cleaned up and sealed.

I’ve called 3 companies that work with patios and decks. 2 said they wouldn’t take the job. Mr Handyman said they would do it. Is that a good option or are there better companies in the area?

I brought my Civic into the dealership for AC issues. They said the AC condenser needs to be replaced under warranty but the part is on back order with no ETA. This is in NJ. Anyone know how long it will take?

I am 36 years old and am 3 years in with a 30 year term life insurance policy for $1 million for $65 a month. I am looking to increase it due to buying a house and having a kid.

I got a quote from Banner Life for the following

$1,000,000 30 year term:  $85.69/mo

$1,500,000 30 year term:  $123.64/mo

$2,000,000 30 year term:  $163.01/mo

My plan initially was to cancel my current policy and sign up for the $2 million policy, but my final quote came out higher than my initial quote due to a mole. They say I am in the preferred health class.

Would it be smarter to keep my current policy and add another $1 million policy for $85?

I bought a 2018 Civic with 110k miles 3 months ago. Works great except on hot days, it takes the AC like 20 minutes to put out cold air and by then I’m soaked. When it does start running well it can get really cold.

According to the Carfax, the fuel pump was replaced by a Honda dealership on 4/18/25 at 87k miles, the A/C compressor shaft seal was replaced on 5/1/24, and AC condenser replaced on 8/21/21 at 19k miles.

It came with a 6 month warranty from the Honda dealership I bought it from, but it’s over an hour away. Is it worth it to drive it over there or is this normal? I heard there are known issues with the AC but wasn’t sure if what was fixed already was part of the issue.
