Hi, so far my perception about both XERO programs was that they are quite challenging.
So, for my understanding, would you recommend XERO‘s for absolute beginners, i.e. performing at Max Shred level at best? What kind of fitness or abilities would you recommend or demand before starting with XERO?
BTW, for your reference, I‘m on my way to complete AX-1 for the second time.
Thanks

P.S.: From the discussion so far, can somebody please give me some idea of the schedule and names used? (E.g. AX-1 is centered around the idea of monthly tests to be passed, while Shred is more like a continuous progression from day #1 to its last.) I mean a screencopy of the schedule won't tell the
Hallo zusammen,
bin kein Feuerwehrmann, habe aber wegen möglicher Starkregenfälle ein paar Fragen zu geeigneten Pumpen. Kann mir von Euch Jemand auf die Sprünge helfen?
Danke + Gruß aus dem Norden
Hi, greetings from Germany.
The first time I heared about Tex and Latex was in the early 1990's. I never used it before, as whenever I had a look into a .tex file ... I couldn't imagine that's an ergonomic way of writing text.
Meanwhile I fell in love with Scrivener for the design phase of my first drafts, where focus is on content and rearrangements. However, at its very core it uses Word files in rtf-format. Not bad, transfer would be to other word processors like Sigil for epub, Word may be and Papyrus especially for style checking purposes. (I prefer stripping formatting information, i.e. convert to pure textual ASCII, as residual formatting information almost always will have
FYI, looks like my problem is solved for the moment, using apt-get to install CSound. May 11th, 2021
Thanks to all of you from this great community 🥰

Hi,
I tried the following in CSoundQt on Windows, but it starts getting clumsy, though it works. So I look for a simpler solution, which by accident should run on a Linux Notebook.
The idea is to control my Leslie MK 2101 via MIDI, while playing. It can be done by some switches from the backside, but yeah, it's less than pretty to do.
As you can see the index values (inside the knobs, integers by nature) will be transmitted, whil
Hi, Csound beginner here.
Do you know, which tool was used to come up with all those signal flow graphs, like the one below?
I know, you can use almost anything, but this one looks like there is or was a dedicated library behind ;-)
Thanks
Hi, just being curious. I do this using a book used by botanic students, which guides you through several yes/no branches.
But is there a good yes/no catalog for plant features (type, leafs, flower, seedlings, rhizom etc.) online?
Hi,
tried to determine this one, and arrived at Asterales/Campanulaceae/Legousia , but I'm not sure. The flower is similar to other Legousia images, while the leafs are not that typical. Also there seems to be only one flower per branch here.
Grows with ferns on a slope over stones, on the southern side of the hole, i.e. with some self-induced shadowing. Covers the holes slope almost completely.
Thanks :)
Hi, I spent some time this weekend to learn more about the latest Zynthian, with Pi 4. It's interesting, but so far I see three problems, at least for me, which keep me from ordering:
- latency still seems to be a problem (played live on the instrument, not replaying MIDI-edits)
- navigation without a terminal attached
- it hardly can be operated without a computer attached to it.
Ad #1, my main use would be playing live from a keyboard. Discussion about latency seems to be very limited, videos tend to be older, and there you can witness the pause between pressing a key and actually hearing the sound. Examples are given for all kind of synhts, but only few for FX, where latency is hard

Hi, I'm playing an Hammond organ clone. Sometimes later I may want to attach a MIDI bass pedal to it. However, I never played pedals before, and because they are expensive, I'd like to make a good choice. Model and brand aren't my concern at the moment.
So here is my question.
Basically there are two types available:
- straight pedals, which are in parallel
- radiant pedals, with the circles origin somewhere under or behind the seat.
Am I right, for good feet techniques the radiant pedals are prefereable ("heels together")? Or doesn't it really matter?
How important do you consider having a resting bar for the heels at its backside?
Just as an example here's a straight on
Hi, once my budget allows it I may want to buy a bass pedal for my Viscount Legend. I have never played bass pedals before. There are several concepts around, especially
- radiant / straight
- with / without heel support
- flat / concav heel support
I suspect that a radiant pedal board with concav heel support might feel best. Do you agree? What is your experience with different board concepts?
Just as some kind of visual reference here is a sort of gallery of various concepts: https://www.promenademusic.co.uk/viscount-midi-pedalboards .
To emphasize, I'm not interested in a certain brand or in a certain pedal mo
Hi, just recognized that Win10 seems to put little icons to the left bottom (or middle) of SOME of the desktop icons. They seem to update somehow. Don't get the logic so far ... now they all show a grey cross ... which will certainly change in a while again ...
What is it? What is it good for? How to modify its behavior, e.g. switch off?
Thanks
