So.. Stefani's recurring nightmare was just a trick to lure Iris out of isolation.. just like with Clear (FD2), setting their bloodline's deaths in motion.

When Iris said Death was coming for their family, it was a self-fulfilling prophecy. If she didn't step outside, or if Stefani didn't visit her, their bloodline would've remained safe from Death.

If Stefani would only ignore the "nightmare" but then we wouldn't have the story to begin with. On other hand, it only makes sense to think Iris fell for it. All of that research spanning decades, all go out the window, simply because she got too emotional.. for a mere minute!

As for William John Bludworth (J.B.), it's no wonder he was around
