I'm just entering the world of MachineLearning. Experimenting with Sklearn RandomForestClassifier. Now I've 4 variables with an Feature Importance Score I can work with. Now I added the 'objectID' as a Feature. Now it appears that weights for 0.14 percent. A bit much of something which (should) have nothing to do with the prediction (in my opionion). The Accuracy is (still) about 0.80. Same score as without the ObjectID as a feature.

the variables are:

  • 1: 0.274715
  • 2: 0.243619
  • 3: 0.202585
  • 4: 0.146442
  • 5 (object ID): 0.132639

Below you see the Feature Importance Score without the objectID variable. Variables are in the same order of importance. Just bigger difference in importantne

I'm looking for the statistical term or formula for this: it is related to the recall of .79 of an AI algorithm that detects objects in the field, based on aerial photo.

Story:

Imagine I've 100 objects in the field. Per time I take a look in the field, I detect 79 objects. And I miss 21. How many times do I have to take a look in the field to detect all 100 independent objects? When I take a second, ... N, look I can detect an object I already knew it was there.

Now the other way around. I know there are N objects. My 'recall' is 0.79. So when I detect 1.370 objects the first time. Is it okay to say that the totall number of objects in the field are: 1.370 / 0.79 = 1.734?

I've an Aerial image (5cm ground pixel resolution, RGB) and Satellite Images 50 cm pixel resolution (RGB and NearInfrared) and I would like to do some Tree detection image analyses. Just the Trees in the streets. Not the RandomForest-tree as AI algorithm.

But Im not sure where to start: QGIS with the Semi-automatic Classification Plugin or ArcGIS Pro with the Image Analysist Tools?

I've also a shapefile with Trees as point-object. Is that usefull as training data? How many tree-points do I need as training data?

Did someone gave this a try already? Was the result good(-enough)? Did you encounter a problem you couldnt work around? I hope I can learn from your experience and hopefully imp

I'm looking for a line of code to select the Hexagons through which the Sewers go and write these Hexagons to a third shapefile.

When I do it manualy in QGIS I do first a selection 'based on location' wih the checkboxes intersect and overlay checked. But I want to do this in Python because to "automate the boring stuff".

Now I have this simple script:

import geopandas as gpd
from shapely.geometry import Polygon

poly1 = gpd.read_file("C:\GISdatabase\sewers.shp")
poly2 = gpd.read_file("C:\GISdatabase\HexY100.shp")

hex_with_sewers = ???

hex_with_sewers.to_file("C:\GISdatabase\hex_with_sewers.shp")

I've tried this line of code on the ???, but the result is not what

As Iceni you start around London. I just conquered the Island via war. In the diplomacy screen there was an option to control an faction via Family-blood or Bloodbrothers or something. Now I dont see that option anymore. Even if I "Arrange a Marriage" first with another faction on continental-europe via diplomacy.

What do I have to do, as Iceni, if I want to full-control another faction besides war/conquest?

Imagine we have a robot designed by the three laws of robotics and this robot is in control of the lever in the Trolley Problem. What would the Robot do? What should the robot do? Do we need to upgrade the three laws of robotics?

The Three Laws of Robotics are: A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm. A robot must obey the orders given to it by human beings, except where such orders would conflict with the First Law. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.[1] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Three_Laws_of_Robotics

The trolley problem is a thought experiment in ethic
