I’m doing it! I posted a week ago after fainting and hitting my head and scaring the crap out of my 10 year old son who called my mom to call 911. Out of detox now and at home. I’ve been trying to quit for over a year and every relapse got worse and worse. Finally taking the medication I was too stubborn to take before. Feeling exhausted and terrible with the new meds, not eating much - but not having any cravings. My house is clean and there are no empty cans hidden in drawers. I just did my skin care and am cuddling with my dog. I really truly believe that I can and will stay sober this time. I actually like myself and believe in myself I could cry! It’s not all roses this is hardest thing

Hi everyone! Anyone have experience with taking both these medications at the same time for cravings? I’m especially curious about weight gain.. TIA
Tonight at 8pm I’ll be 4 days sober. I miss my son, I miss my dog, I miss my neighbours. I’ve been journaling the last two days, challenging negative thoughts I have over being a completely awful mother for fainting with my son at home as well as the fear that I’ll fuck up again. I laugh and joke a lot with the staff and other patients and try to keep things light but Im scared. I have come into this with a goal to lean in - I have gone to every group, actually connecting with people even tried acudetox. I’m being so well taken care of here. Thanks for all the support ❤️ IWNDWYT

33f long time daily drinking especially during covid and turned into a binge drinker the last year trying to hard to quit so many times. I drink up to a litre of wine or half a 2 6 and I suffer bad withdrawals when I stop cold turkey which I tried to do a few weekends ago. I self referred to detox and was told to keep drinking until then. Yesterday I drank a lot of wine, fainted in the bathroom and hit my head. I guess my 10 year old son heard, found me and face-timed my mom to call 911. When I woke up my small suite was filled with fire fighters and EMS and my son was crying. My neighbour who is a saint promptly came in and took my very large dog and kept him over night and invited my son o
Here we go again! My fourth attempt at at home detox. I went to the emergency 3 days ago due to unbearable withdrawals. I was on the waitlist for in hospital detox but couldn’t take it anymore. I was given 20, 5mg of Valium. What did you do in the early days to keep yourself occupied? So far I’ve been cleaning and organizing obsessively, chain smoking as well, to keep myself busy - but in the past me working so hard has led to me binge drinking as a reward. But for me this is the last time as I can’t continue on like I had been before. Also open to any nutrition suggestions as my stomach is pretty messed up.
