I just accepted an offer from an E-Verified employer and am in a rush to file my stem opt since my opt is expiring soon. My official start date for work is at the end of the month and I don’t want to wait until then. I’ve already started my background verification process.
My company has signed I-983s before but I’m guessing it’s for employees that have already started working. Since I haven’t started yet, they want to run this by legal before signing. Has anyone experienced this before?
I applied to a growing newsroom recently and got to the final interview with senior leadership. The call went well, I had four rounds total, even did an unpaid assessment. It's been over two weeks since the final round, and I've followed up twice with no response.
Is this a common experience? Any chance of hearing back at this point? The job market is rough enough and I feel the least recruiters can do is close the loop with final round candidates
Hi! I'm a reporter working on a story about a gap that affects many celiac patients: the difficulty of finding clear, reliable information about whether their medications are gluten-free.
Unlike food, medications and drugs aren't subject to the same FDA labeling requirements, meaning manufacturers aren't obligated to disclose inactive ingredients, leaving patients to navigate this uncertainty on their own.
If you have celiac disease and have ever found yourself unable to take a medication because you couldn't confirm it was gluten-free, or if you've taken one and experienced a reaction, I'd love to hear from you. Please feel free to DM me.
Has anyone been to the men’s and women’s finals screening at Hudson Yards in the last year or two? How early would you recommend we reach the venue to get a good seat (for 2 people)?
