DPDR Advice that helped my recovery greatly

Offering Comfort/Reassurance/Solidarity

Hello everyone. I've put together a few pieces of advice that helped greatly in my recovery, that I don't recall seeing very commonly spread around. I hope it can help any of you guys in your recovery too.

DPDR Advice

  • Rumination is your worst enemy. If you notice yourself starting to ruminate, instantly change your physical state. If you’re lying down, stand up and go take a shower.

  • Just because your existential thoughts seem true or that you believe them, does not make them true. Being disconnected is going to produce disconnected thoughts. They are one of many possibilities, regardless of how much you believe in a particular one.

  • If you notice any sensation or feeling

Hello everyone. For a while, I've been giving out all the advice I have for DP/DR, and trying to help countless of you guys with it.

Recently, the only activity I see within this sub just seems to be a bunch of doomers spreading misinformation. It's really starting to frustrate me, because it's so harmful to people who are experiencing DP/DR for the first time.

Nobody seems to be listening. Everyone seems to be hopeless and depressed. This sub has truly become a pit of pure depression, misinformation, and a catalyst for bad behaviours and thoughts.

For anyone experiencing DP/DR for the first time, look up the DARE podcasts about DP/DR, and get the fuck off this subreddit.

Sorry to be a negative Nancy, but this game is cooked. Too many cheaters, full of p2w garbage, and now they are rushing updates because they want to cash out.

Such a good concept and now it's going to shit. I'm genuinely devastated. RIP Fisch.

Just want to leave this here for people that are struggling with existential thoughts. I remember when I had a lot of anxiety and DPDR that I always thought the existential thoughts were the WORST. Thoughts like "why does anything matter if we're all gonna die anyways" or being scared about the earth being engulfed by the sun in billions of years.

These thoughts are just THOUGHTS and are just because you are not LIVING IN THE PRESENT. As soon as the anxiety lessens, and then the dissociation lessens, these thoughts will make absolutely no sense to you whatsoever!!

The past doesn't exist anymore, nor does the future. Only the present exists and matters.

Hello everyone.

I had two migraines around 4 years ago, which caused me to have blind spots in my vision, and a numb arm.

I went to the ER, and they had told me it was a very rare type of migraine called a "hemiplegic migraine".

Since then, I've began to wonder if they really were "hemiplegic" migraines, or rather just a classical migraine with dissociation symptoms making me feel as if my arms were weak or numb. During the migraines, my face did not droop, nor were any of my limbs paralysed, they only felt like they weren't there and were completely numb.

So I come here to ask, has anyone else had the same experience, and it be classed as a hemiplegic migraine?

Thank you for reading.

Okay, so my father is 66 years old. Over the years, his drinking became a problem. At first, he only drank on weekends. Slowly, it turned into every night. He would come home from work and drink until he passed out. My mother tried to talk to him about it, but he always got defensive and said he could stop whenever he wanted. As kids we thought this was normal and didn't question it.

There were nights when he didn’t come home. His mood changed all the time. He became really angry, he yelled at me all the time. It got worse when he lost his job, which put a lot of strain on my mother because she had to begin working and spent less time with us. This went on until I was around 19. He would th

Hello. Total PC noob here.

Specs (I know of)

GPU - GeForce 2060 SUPER

CPU - Intel Core i5-4690K

Motherboard - MSI Z97 GAMING 5

I am playing around with overclocking. These are my benchmarks:

Clock speed 36, core voltage to 1 = 3371pts

Clock speed 36, core voltage to 1.1 = 2588pts

Clock speed 36, core voltage to 1.2 is 2241pts

So my question is, why the hell does increasing my core voltage decrease performance? How does this make any sense at all? Google gives me no answer so I have no idea. Please help. Thanks.
