I've gotten a ton of massages over the years but I'm in kind of a weird/unique spot for me.
- I'm over 40
- I lift weights and play ice hockey 2-4x a week -i have a desk job where I'm seated for long periods and can't stretch as much as I should
Specifically to hockey, I had a massage therapist do a psoas release which was particularly helpful but that was pre-covid. Pretty much my whole lower body is tight/fatigued.
I'm not sure how long I should be booking or frequency and what my expectations should be. I'm not in like chronic pain and I try to stretch outside of work hours.
I've had the SLR3 pads for a while, didn't want to buy the pro carbons and apart from color customization, the only thing I really missed was the absolutely fantastic professor strap on the pro carbons.
I don't know why I never thought to check but I emailed vaughn and they sell them as accessories! They're basically perfect with a bit of stretch in the middle and the magnetic buckle works super well (I demoed a pair of SLR2 pro carbons before I decided to buy the SLR3's).
Best part? They're only $60, I really would have paid twice that. Not sponsored in any way, and leg pads are my only piece of Vaughn gear, b
I'm still better as a goalie so I skate out in lower levels than I play goalie. This weekend I was able to do my Achilles heel move in a game (laterally between the circles, forehand to backhand and roof it) and I was a weird mix of proud (I've never done that in a game) and bad (the other goalie wasnt at my skill level).
Any of ya'll skate out and feel bad abusing your fellow goalies?
I'm not a showboater or celebrator, I just got high fives and went back to the bench.
Has anyone done custom goalie skates?
Prior to last year, I had never been properly sized for skates. It wasn't a problem playing goalie but when I started skating out, I had a lot of foot pain, then I got properly sized skates and everything is perfect.
My problem is that I'm currently wearing 6 wide ccm tacks that have also been punched as player skates. If you know anything about player skates, they're basically the widest boot that is out there.
My current skates are Bauer s190 in 7.5ee and I have like an inch in the toe box which I now know is not optimal. I did the Bauer foot scanner thing, they recommended 7.5 fit 3, I tried a 7 fit 3 and couldnt even get my foot in.

Also, I forgot how lackluster 4090 laptop was compared to 7900XT desktop
Picked one of these up from AliExpress. I got the grey version with red crown & nylon band. For my use case, fitness trackers are far superior. I just want notifications, workout tracking and multiple days of battery life. I'm coming from huami amazfit gtr3 pro.
Pros:
- screen is bright enough to see with polarized sunglasses.
- nylon strap is extremely comfortable, way better than the silicon
- accurate workout tracking
Cons:
- a bit tricky to set up for a USA user to get extra watch faces. I had to register as a UK user on VPN. The included watch faces are NOT GOOD, but there are great free options.
Very happy with my purchase. I paid $165 with free shipping on AliExpress.
Occulink becoming mainstream (vs thunderbolt) might change my opinion on EGPU's
videocardz.com/newz/lenovo-thinkbook-14-2024-...There is an option with weapons & armor labeled "skin". My assumption is that we can wear one thing and have it look like a other but it's not currently utilized, has anyone been able to use this?
