Hi all! My fiancee and I are getting married in a very very simple, quick ceremony next month. We've been eyeing some spots for pictures afterward (we're literally just bringing a tripod for our phones, lol). We were initially planning to head up onto the Foothills Parkway, which is still an option, but we recently came across photos of the Elkmont Troll Bridge.

We live in Knoxville and are frequent visitors to the park, but we've never traveled to this cute little bridge. I understand it's not very far down the Little River Trail. Is it a fairly easy walk? We will be in dresses, but we don't care if they get dirty...more so worried about our shoes and the ground.

Also, is there a flat are

Hi all!

I am unfortunately going through the job hunting process for the first time in a decade after being laid off a few months back. I am very grateful that I am landing interviews, and for the most part I think I'm doing fairly well with them. But I was just wondering what your best interview tips are?

Currently, my routine includes coming up with a list of possible questions and writing answers for those, rehearsing those questions/answers so they don't sound robotic, and then keeping notes (bullet points, short phrases or words) to reference if needed during the interview for virtual interviews.

I was also hoping to get some advice for what to do if you just completely blank on a q

How to put in preferred availability in UKG app?

Workplace Question or Advice Needed

Hi all. Does anyone know how to put in your preferred availability in the new UKG app?

I currently have open availability, but our HR person mentioned that with this new app we’d be able to put in our preferred availability within our complete availability, if that makes sense. I just can’t figure out how to do it.

Hi all! Just hoping to get your opinions.

I've been working as a journalist for nearly a decade now. However, I was laid off a few months back and have been struggling to find related work since. I found a freelance writing gig that is approximately 20-30 hours/week (pay would be roughly $34ish/hr). I'm just not sure if it's worth it.

I've never had a desire to step into freelance work before, largely due to the lack of benefits and the fact that you have to do your own taxes. At the same time, I'm eager to get back to writing and have something that I can put on my resume.

I'm currently back in retail, which I absolutely hate. But after 90 days, I will have benefits. This job also covers

I have every EP except City Living. Nothing in the CAS/BB really interests me. I have For Rent, so I have apartments.

Yet I constantly see City Living recommended and touted as one of the best EPs.

Why does everyone love it so much?

Hi all! I was laid off in May following nearly a decade at my job, and it hasn't been easy since. In the 3 months since I was laid off, I've found exactly 3 full-time jobs in my field, two based in NYC/LA and one remote (I made it all the way through to the final round interview and thought I had it in the bag, but then got the "we decided to go in a different direction" email). I've come to realize that my only option now is to do a career pivot, but the problem is that everything seems to want years of exact experience even for entry-level positions.

For reference, I've been working in entertainment journalism for the past decade. Absolutely love it and hate to leave it behind, but there

Hi all. After nearly 10 years at the same job (my first big girl job out of college), I was laid off alongside several of my coworkers in May. I've spent every day since looking for jobs, tailoring my resume and cover letter, applying for jobs, and preparing for the few interviews I've actually managed to land. I even managed to reach the final interview stage (a 1 1/2 month process that also included an hours-long work assessment) for a job I was a perfect fit for. Was told by everyone I spoke to along the way that our conversations went great, they were excited about the prospect of me joining the team, and they loved my work assessment – just to get a rejection email stating that they "de
