I have an iPad Mini 2. It's a less than 2 year old device, which should be still considered current given that even Apple assumes that on the average, people keep their iPads for 3 years.

If I try to open a link to an Excel file on Onedrive, or even an Excel file embedded into Onenote, it takes for freaking ever.

If I open a link to a Sheets file in GDrive, it's about twice as fast.

Why can't MS make their own shit work together ?

This was what I got from reading their AMA (which I missed by a day, sadly).

1. They are going to concentrate on Metro version of Onenote
2. They are going to let Desktop slowly die off
3. They are thinking of having an integration between Onenote Metro and Wunderlist

If that's true, it's a terrible decision IMHO and it just takes away one of the main reasons to use Onenote over Evernote.

I have an iPad Mini and when I export a webpage to ON using Safari, the resulting printout is tiny and impossible to read even with the maximum magnification that ON for iPad allows.

It can be resized manually but it's a PITA to do for a multi-page printout on a small tablet.

Is there an alternative way to clip a webpage on iPad without running into this limitation ?

If I have an inserted and embedded Excel file (i.e. not an attachment, but the inserted file content actually showing in Onenote) can I change it in iOS client ? Currently can't test this since my Onenote 2016 refuses to insert spreasheets from Office 2013.

I've been using other services outside ON, although have been getting more and more invested into ON ever since MS improved their iPad app.

In the past couple of years I had to move craploads of data out of Springpad (RIP) and for the past few evenings I've been busy converting my last remaining Evernote notebook to ON as their policy and pricing changes made the service unattractive.

This latest EN debacle got me worried about being too invested into OneNote however. At the present time, there seems to be no way to export data out while preserving file attachments inserted in records. Yes PDFs can be converted into printouts (although this is a poor approach unless you need OCR) but what

I am trying to get away from having to copy all the tasks into one program / master list, and instead use the Spotlight search to create it. I add the prefix "@@" to the Next Action items, and "@@@" to the ones I intend to work on today. In my two most used programs (Reminders and iThoughts) the search results show up as individual lines. E.g. if I take meeting notes in iThoughts, and somewhere inside there's a "@@ Call John" line, the Spotlight search for @@ will return "@@ Call John" result. SO all of my action items hidden across different iThoughts maps show up in a single list. Pretty neat.

But this doesn't work on Onenote. Instead of the actual line of text containing the search chara

I have a cheap ass Charbroil grill from KMart that I bought 19 years ago on sale. I really never got into grilling steaks until several years ago. My grill is far from perfect plus the insides rust out & have to be replaced every couple of years.

So, I want to get a good grill. I am willing to spend the money as long as it lasts and is much better than the current one I have.

I narrowed it down to Weber Genesis E330 or EP330. Is there an advantage of having the stainless steel grates vs porcelain covered cast iron ones ? Also, there seem to be no sales on either model, they are $799 and $849 respectively, is this a usual price ? I can wait a month if they go on sale around Easter, but

So, my daughter has been taking piano lessons for 2 years and has made very good progress, even according to her teacher who is not easy to please. We just got her a digital piano to replace her electronic keyboard, and would like to make a small recording of 6-8 of her best music pieces for the grandparents for holidays.

The piano is Yamaha YDP-142, which has an USB to Host output and 2 headphone jacks outputs. As I understand, the USB output would only work for midi. I don't want to use the live mic recording if I can avoid it, I'd much rather record straight from the piano. I have zero prior experience, so I need some help.
