What's better for productivity and what does leadership prefer? To fill totes to capacity as much as possible without overfilling obviously so items don't fall out on the conveyers or replace as quickly as possible when somewhat filled?

So for a couple years now i've been consitently one of the top pickers in my FC and now i've decided to slow down substantially and be closer to rate. So for example i was picking at 380-400 every shift and now i'm picking at 300-320 for the past month or so. I've already had some suspect shit happen like being made to take a random drug test for the first time in 2 years out of the blue, then being sent to a universal station when i was finished even though at 310 uph i was still like 40th out of like 150 picking. Question is will there more serious retaliation for slowing down like this or am i being paranoid and they don't really give two shits what i'm doing?

Asking because I wanna better understand, sometimes it seems they are totally unprepared or maybe even inconvenienced when u show up and ask for a station assignment. I’ve noticed at the start of the 6:30 pm shift I always receive the station assignment at the exact same time which leads me to believe it’s an automatic process. Other times when I pick up a morning or afternoon shift I’ll have to look for someone to assign me a station, other times I will again have what appears to be an automatic station assignment. Any managers here able to clarify? Can they even see who’s scheduled to come in, is it pure laziness when I’m scheduled to come in and don’t have an assignment? How does it work?

They keep changing the times for picking shifts at my warehouse, the one shift i would pick up all the time was 2:30 pm to 6:00 pm was changed to 3:30 to 6:00 and the 6:30 pm to to 10:30 pm was shortened to 6:30 to 9:45 pm. 10:30 am to 2:00 pm was changed to 11:15am to 3:00 pm. It's pretty frustrating.
