We used to have a lot of street dogs here in Athens, Greece and a lot were shot in advance of the 2004 Olympics. It was grotesque and shameful. In my neighbourhood, not far from some of the Olympic venues on the south coast, a small black mutt lived on the streets for at least 15 years. She was well enough taken care of communally with fresh food, water, and blankets she would bed down in. I'm a foreigner living in Greece and I just purchased a VW Passat with the 1.6 liter EU5 engine, and I believe it is the EA189 engine model. Any ideas yet how Greece will deal with this and what recourse owners will have against VW, if any? I am about to take delivery of the car. Can I reject it? Anyone have ideas on what the local laws say?

Quick search, first article. For you who are new to motorcycling be under no illusion: we know we're playing with fire and the best preventative measure is to train, train and train again, and when you thought you learned it all, start your training again from the beginning. The motorcycle itself is just a piece of machinery and under your total control. However, if used incorrectly a motorcycle is very unforgiving. While the statistics are startling, and may deter some, at least it's worth the intellectual honesty of knowing the risks. See: http://www.dyingtoride.org/STATS.htm
