Good day everyone

I read that MediatR is going (or already in commercial license?), but I just want to know if I can still MediatR and it's latest or future updates for our internal application, I haven't check it or install MediatR to my new applications.

Thanks.

Hi everyone

Do you use Mapster when you are doing a Command Request or do you manually mapping?

here's an example of using Mapster:

public record AddEmployeeRequest()
{
    [Required(ErrorMessage = "First name is required")]
    [StringLenght(50, ErrorMessage = "First name has a maximum of 50 characters only")]
    public string FirstName { get; set; }

    [Required(ErrorMessage = "Last name is required")]
    [StringLenght(50, ErrorMessage = "Last name has a maximum of 50 characters only")]
    public string LastName { get; set; }

    [Required(ErrorMessage = "Middle name is required")]
    [StringLenght(50, ErrorMessage = "Middle name ha

Good day everyone

I need your advice, but this will be a long post, I'm a developer for a very long time now, I've been with different companies with teams, and currently I was hired by a small company, and currently I'm the only dev, and I might hire another developer. I just checked and reviewed all the legacy applications which are in WinForms, and me and my boss had a talked to replace them to a modern apps, so I pitched Blazor to apps that should be a web application and .NET MAUI in Blazor Hybrid for desktop applications.

Now, I am the developer/probably manager/architecture of the company, I want to establish modern ways, architecture and patterns to my new company, to make it futur

Hi everyone

Currently I'm looking for the best UI Frameworks for Blazor and Blazor Hybrid (MAUI), unfortunately I can't decide what to use for our internal applications.

I already have experience with the following apps, and my dilemmas on them.

  1. Blazor Bootstrap

    Licensed: Free

    Worked in MAUI:

     I haven't tried yet.

    Pros:

     1. Bootstrap style, modern style

    Cons:

     I actually ditch this, as they are having a problem with Blazorise. and might out of support in the future.

  2. Fluent UI

    License: Free

    Worked in MAUI:

     1. I tried it, but there is a problem when it comes to changing from light to dark themes.

    Pros:

     1. Good for office style application (Microsoft style

I was successfully made a .NET MAUI Blazor Hybrid App using Radzen and Fluent UI, I manage to use them on my projects, right now, we are currently want to use DevExpress (we are a subscriber for Winforms before), now we are trying to migrate to .NET MAUI Blazor Hybrid, as I am more on Blazor when it comes to Web Apps, I created a sample web app using DevExpress, unfortunately, I'm having a hard time when it comes to .NET MAUI Blazor Hybrid. according to DevExpress website that there is a .NET MAUI for Blazor, unfortunately it's not working properly, and it eats my time trying to figure everything out. I'm currently on a trial mode to check it, but this gives me a dilemma.

Good day everyone

Currently I created a Solution with multiple projects

  1. Blazor Web App (Auto Server and WebAssembly) which will create 2 projects

  2. Razor Class Library where the razor pages or component can be used by both Server and WebAssembly

  3. Class Library where shared classes are (example DTOs) that can be used by both Server and WebAssembly

Now I tried to create it using Project - Export Template, but it can only export one project as a template. now, If I follow this, this will only create multiple projects template then I have to reference them, but when it comes to Blazor Web App which created 2 projects, and creating separate template might be a problem. Is there a wa

Good day everyone

I haven't been into creating a .NET MAUI Blazor Hybrid, and right now, in .NET 9, you can create a .NET MAUI Blazor Hybrid and Web App together, instead of manually adding the projects to your solution.

Now what I understand is you have shared components that can be applied on both Maui and Web App, and for me, WebAssembly is the best hosting model if your application is required to connect to the database using a API, but I'm still intrigued about how the Blazor Server works on .NET MAUI if it shares component that requires to connect to the database.

Will the connection string be stored in MAUI and will it directly call the database, let's say MS SQL? For me if it's do

Good day everyone

I'm currently checking the quickgrid for blazor, and I'm curious if we can edit the fields on the quickgrid and can be save to the database? I'm currently creating a Blazor Server project that we can update the details of our data through the grid, except of doing a form, will this possible? if yes, do you have examples?

Thank's and regards.

Good day everyone.

I'm trying to upgrade my Stratocaster (in HSS) (a local brand Strat in my country, but the quality is same as Squier Classic Vibe) I'm checking some of the pickups online, one that caught my eyes and ears is the "Tone Rider Classic Blues", as I'm into blues or a John Mayer style tone, but speaking of John Mayer, I saw also the Revival Pickups RPS7, which is a John Mayer style pickups, though I'm playing other styles like the following:

  1. Blues
  2. Rock
  3. Worship
  4. Alternative Rock
  5. Some Heavy

For heavier sounds my Humbucker is taking care of it, but yeah, if I'm playing blues or rock, I'm into the neck and middle pickups.

Though for RPS7 demo is very limited in You

Good day everyone

I'm currently checking the Blazor in .NET 8, which I got excited about because of the unification of Server and WebAssembly, but actually, it's not what I expected. I thought that server-side page would automatically convert into webassemby page once visited, so it will not render again, but It's not, SSR is good, but it cannot be interactive unless you update the render mode to allow it to be interactive.

When I saw the Blazor (auto), for me, It was like a WebAssembly with .NET Core Hosted, but you can put Blazor Server pages on the .NET Core Hosted.

Now, I'm trying to adapt with it, because this can save resources on our server or make it more optimized, but I don't kn

Good day everyone

I left my 3rd employer, 3 years ago, and still lagi nila ako kinokontak sa mga projects ko sa kanila, I'm a senior software developer, and nasa kanila ako for 8 years, then me and my other colleague, nag resign kami sa kanila, pinasa namin yung work namin sa kanila with complete documentation, after that, lagi kami kinokontak, even today. yung kasamahan ko tumigil ng mag response, sinabihan nga nya na "mga senior na kayo, di parin kayo marunong mag basa ng codes at mag-debug?", ako naman I still help them, pero minsan pati migration from server to another server, kinokontak parin ako, pati pag setup ng web app sa IIS, which lahat documented naman, and mostly pag may proble
