It's like a feeling of building pressure, is it just a leftover of something else?

I've been doing some co-op/solo play with a friend on Hard (lvl60 just before final boss), and it really seems like the player's power level ramps up way too fast, especially compared to previous games.

We're happy with how fast all the slots and equipment unlocked compared to previous games, but for a first playthrough it really seemed like Gearbox was just trying to get things over with and move the player into post-game ASAP.

We weren't doing any optimizations or following any guides and just using whatever we liked (ex. I was using a full Daedalus build with the Stockpiler enhancement through the whole game, on Rafa) and we were melting through (literally) all the bosses and challeng
