Just ran my first marathon at the London Marathon on Sunday. Amazing experience and atmosphere, but I’d really appreciate some feedback on what I could improve for next time.

Results vs. Expectations going in

- Chip time of 4:00:36. Splits were pretty even (9:02–9:12 min/mi throughout)
- Runna estimated time was 3:27 - 3:35. Knew that was already quite ambitious, so intended to do the first 20mi at 3:40 pace and then reassess.

Training

- Followed a 16-week Runna plan fairly closely, only missing one week (albeit the peak week) due to injury. Otherwise, no issues with the sessions or pace, including several long runs with MP segments.
- Avg ~28 miles/week, peak ~45 mile

Hi all
We are flying home from London to Sydney for our wedding in a couple of months. Currently booked for PE (which we paid GBP2.5k each). Looking to upgrade to business but will have to pay cash as not enough points to upgrade both / not enough rewards seats left anyway. Got quoted GBP4k to upgrade just the 1st leg (LDN - SYD), but GBP5k each to upgrade round trip - so even though the first leg is the main one we care about (since we are brining wedding dress / suit back with us etc) it would make sense to do both legs. Question is, is it worth paying the extra GBP5k to upgrade?

Flew Singapore PE about 2 years ago and it was really nice, definitely better than normal econ. Business se

Planning to be in NYC for c. 10 days later this year and starting to put together a list of places to eat. Esp. interested in Italian and Chinese, but also do want to try a bit of everything, so here's what I've got so far. Thoughts welcome!

'Higher end'

  • Atomix

  • Per Se or Le Bernadin. Leaning more towards Per Se as I've heard mixed things of Le Bernadin, but curious to hear peoples' experiences.

Pizza (NB. already tried Prince St and Joe's on a trip last year so left them off the list)

  • Lucia's (in particular, anyone had the clam pizza and if so, is it worth going to the Avenue X location just for this (looks like the Soho one doesn't have it)?)

  • Best Pizza

  • Arturo's

Hoping to get some help with picking a bag for my partner’s bday. Currently tossing up between flamenco clutch (probably medium) or jodie (tbc teen vs small). She currently has a medium basket and small puzzle , so thinking of branching out from Loewe (and the BV is quite different yet still somewhat understated), but also know she like Loewe so that’s probably a safer bet - any thoughts welcome!
