The World of Darkness is reopening at the Bronx Zoo! Summer 2025!
It was my favorite exhibit there as a kid, and I was so disappointed when it was closed. Can't wait to see it again!
And his defense team?
Personally, I feel like given the political climate it's only increasing his chances of getting a jury nullification. I can't imagine how NY could find 12 people in the entire state who aren't super pissed off at billionaires and the legal system right now.
A while back I mentioned my deformed ADF, and people asked for pics. My phone doesn't like taking pictures through the curved glass tank so sorry for the quality, but you can see her general shape.
She's got a really hunched back, and that left front leg doesn't go any further forward than that, she usually holds it straight back against her side. She kinda moves weird too.
But she eats well and seems an overall happy frog as far as I can tell. She seems to have the thinner build of a male (despite being first to the food and last to leave, she's a pig), but no visible underarm spots.
Her name is Quasimodo.

Every time I buy an unofficial charger it initially works great, but at the 2-3 month mark Dell suddenly comes up saying it can't verify the wattage and will refuse to charge. If it happened once or twice I'd say they were faulty chargers, but it's every single time regardless of the brand. And I am carefully checking and they are the correct wattage.
The official charges are like $300 for my laptop model though. And they usually break after a year (the part at the back of the laptop ends up bending and then breaking.
What are your thoughts on fractures?
Also what if the fracture of my bone was as a child and caused by another person's bone?
I was on a trampoline and he did the butt bounce thing and his tail bone landed on my ankle and cracked it. I was but 8 and small for my age, and he was 12 and large for his age.
Are my bones pathetic? Or is it understandable that an 8 year old's bones would break when up against the proportionally larger and stronger bones of an older child? Like the only thing that can scratch diamond is diamond. The only thing that could damage my bones was being slammed into by larger bones.
I'd also like to add that despite being fractured I managed another jump on the trampo
Have been considering getting a lotl and have been considering what could be kept safely with them. So I'm looking at other docile cold water species.
Are white cloud minnows okay? I don't imagine they'd pick on the lotl, but maybe I'm wrong? My thoughts are that some minnows will probably get eaten, but I also imagine they're quick enough for that not to happen too often? Like I've seen video of lotls failing to catch a worm being held in tongs in front of their derpy face... so I'm thinking it'd have to be a particularly slow and stupid minnow. I'm ok with an occasional minnow loss I guess, but if they'd be at all a danger to the lotl or there's gonna be a minnow massacre then I would def
Started off with a powder blue tang, as they're one of my favorite fish. Any thoughts on the style?
I had honestly never really thought about it, but my dad is somewhat recently single (second marriage, not my mom) and dating again. He mentioned he had a date and when they got to the restaurant and he ordered himself lobster she mentioned she had a seafood allergy. They finished the date but my dad ended things shortly after saying that he enjoyed her company, but that he loves seafood and having to either give it up or constantly worry about sending her into anaphylaxis with a kiss both sounded kinda miserable.
I found myself agreeing with him. I could deal with someone not liking seafood, we can eat different foods. But the worry that I might kill them because I ate a shrimp and then ki
Is there a mod that makes the AOE for removing fog of war a tad bit bigger? I enjoy revealing the map through exploration, I do not like that in many areas I'm just a bit short of being able to get my character close enough to the edge to get the crisp lines (the map can't be 100% cleared, there's still a few pixels of fog at the edges). If the AOE was like 125% it's current size or so I think it'd probably be perfect.
I got one and it has like a hunched back and looks like it's arms are on backwards (she always has them out behind her like she's Naruto running; but up a bit higher). She was like that when we got her, but we didn't notice until we got home. It wasn't severe looking when she was little, but as she's grown she's gotten more hunched looking. She seems comfortable enough but she's definitely deformed. I call her Quasimodo (she was also too young to sex when we got her).
So is this a genetic issue? Is it a developmental issue (maybe not getting proper nutrition during tadpole/transformation age)? Something else?
Either way I shall be careful to make sure she doesn't breed (even if it's not ge
I'd love it if this thread (or one like it) could be stickied maybe?
Whether freshwater, saltwater, brackish, w.e. what live cultures have you had success with? Can you provide links on how to set them up and maintain them (or can you write it out yourself)?
I can start with
Daphnia, copepods, scuds, snails (freshwater, easy; if you wanted species-only then copepods get fed the powder like the daphnia, scuds and snails get fed veggie scraps)
Phytoplankton (saltwater, easy)
Copepods (saltwater, easy)
I have no idea what or why. I have 3 planted tanks (a goldfish tank, a community tank, and the guppy tank). All three tanks have 0 ammonia, 0 nitrites, and I keep the nitrates between 10-20 for the plants. Other than the guppies all fish are thriving.
The guppy tank contains 4 African dwarf frogs (none of the deceased or living guppies show any signs of injury, or I'd 100% be blaming the frogs, they're also froglets and the female guppies were much larger than them, even the puny male is too big to fit in their mouths), 4 cories (who are thriving), 6 otocinclus (also thriving), and the guppies (intended group of 1:3, but now only the male remains, and is looking poorly and clamped up, but n
In the first Markus chapter we can see a bunch of businesses that say No Androids Allowed (clothing stores, a movie theater, some restaurants/cafes, a grocery store) and an Android Compartment on the bus. Makes sense on a surface level (in a quasi-racist sort of way; I say quasi because as far as humans know androids are built to have no real feelings or emotion, so they don't think they're offending the androids or making them feel unincluded, just like you don't worry about offending Siri or ChatGPT).
But then we also see androids have taken over most responsibilities for childcare. All the kids in the park are escorted by androids and not their parents. Same for elder care. So like what
I would understand if picking the option to rob the grave would piss people off; I'd be concerned if it didn't. But I shouldn't have to sneak up when all I want to do is politely pay my respects.
Was there no way to handle it so that only the one choice would upset witnesses? Is there some lore reason I am missing?
