Originally booked AF1625/158 in Business class on points from Lisbon to Paris on 8/23, overnight connection to Dallas on 8/24. Apparently AF changed their schedule and dropped the Monday flight on AF158. We were rebooked on same flights a day later, leaving LIS 8/24 overnight to AF158 on 25th.
Do ai ahve any leg to stand on for EU261? Or at least have them cover hotel and food for the extra day/night? We got the notice a while back but I never acknowledged it.
Figured I woudl ask the experts before submitting a claim. Thx
Got a VP 200 four years ago. Recently stopped working and found out about a diode issue which seems to be the case with mine. Replaced the diode with same, failed immediately, went to a larger size, failed after one run. About to put a larger diode in as the vac doesn’t work now and I have nothing to lose, but what are folks getting in place of VP200 (no longer made, probably for a reason)?
late August arrive 7:30P from LIS (so EU to EU), leave 10A to US. Have been to Paris numerous times, so tying to figure out where to stay and what to do overnight. Thinking of staying in Roissy area and maybe going into the village for dinner. (recommendations for hotel and restos welcome) Or heading into the city for dinner (same), or stay near GDN off RER B for easy jaunt back to CDG. Thoughts?
Hi all
Four folks will be arriving Barcelona via plane for 4 nights then heading to Rioja (Staying in Laguardia) then on to Madrid. Initial plan was to train from Barcelona to Logrono, get a car there, return the car to Logrono and train to Madrid, but looks like only one train per day between each location and the train from Logrono to Madrid leave late and gets into Madrid around 10PM with a change along the way, then schlepping to the apartment we booked on Calle Mayor
Option I see is rent a car in Barcelona after our stay (don't think we need/want a car while in the city) but not sure where is best location for not getting stuck in no drive zones, etc., and take a long drive to Laguard

My grandmother (and great and great great) were born in Campolieto Molise. looks to be about 2 hr drive from NAP airport. Is this doable as a day trip? Or should we plan an overnight in the area
Transiting CDG from LIS 7:25P, depart to US 10:25AM next day Aug 23-24 2026 after multiple weeks in Spain and Portugal. So should (?) Have time to visit one of the close by towns (Louvres? recommended on a website I found) or venture into Paris proper for a nighttime Bateaux Mouche and/or dinner, then hotel. Thoughts?
We have been to Paris numerous times and have seen all the "regular" stuff, so considering just staying at the airport, but since we do have reasonable amount of time, maybe do something else.
If airport, which hotel is recommended?
Staying in a place just north of Rue de Rivoli close to the Chatelet metro station on Rue Saint-Martin.
Looking for local places to eat. Nothing super fancy, but do like to eat good food. Not necessarily looking for Michelin stars unless that makes sense :).
Planning cocktails at Harry's Bar at some point (have three nights arriving 27th) but open to other fun places/speakeasys/etc.
Here's the planned itinerary for the day on the 28th. Thoughts?
- 9:15 Train from Gare de L'est
- 9:20 - 1:20 half day wine growers tour with Ala francaise
- 1:20-?? lunch in Reims (Suggestions welcome)
- ?? - 3:45 visit Cathedral
- 4:00 - 5:15 Tour at GH Martel
- 5:30 open, maybe tresor's or ??
- 7:15 train back to Paris
Only set times are the tour with ALF and Martel, both of which I can cancel
Thoughts on Lanson or Pol Couronne vs Martel? Places for lunch?
Have a car reserved also, so could do self drive to Montagne or other region for half day and move everything else around in which case I would appreciate places to look into
TIA
Taking an organized tour to the Montagne region in the afternoon and want to visit a smaller house in Reims after that. Which would you recommend?
