Army to ET

Noob Question

Would I be able to keep my TS if I went to the coast guard reserves as an ET? Or would it be dropped to a secret? That is all. Thank you.

Hello I am trying to pull my EOD packet due to me exploring a different reclass. I was told by my NCO that I need to get the EOD packet canceled so my other packet doesn’t get rejected. My one thing is; I never did an interview with the EOD Officer. He just got a volunteer statement from me, said I need to do an interview, and then never did one and told me that my packet was accepted and just waiting on my 12 month time on station. The packet shouldn’t have gone up without the interview… Can I still pull the packet and cancel it??

Hello, I’m a current soldier in the process to switch to the EOD field. I have been doing research about the job, speaking to current EOD techs, and doing even more research. One question that I can’t seem to find and answer to yet is about OCONUS EOD units in Korea or Germany. Are you able to request an OCONUS duty station while in the Florida stage? Or is it just, “plop” wherever the army wants? Do you have a say? As you can tell, I’m still new to the army(less than 24 months), so sorry if I sound naive

Just curious about learning about your guy’s experiences, day to day(if you can say), and opportunities. I’m trying to make an informed decision for my army career. Thank you.

Also, is EOD not considered SOF? Thank you.

This is mainly for American students. FAANG isn’t the only place to search for tech jobs. You all are searching for jobs in tech in an area where you being hired is less than 1%. And if you’re hired, they can fire you and outsource for $2 an hour for 60-80 hour weeks to India. These companies DONT CARE ABOUT AMERICAN TALENT. There are millions of companies that have software, IT, and other tech positions. Yes, the companies aren’t as “sexy” as big companies, or whatever LA company, but it is more reliable. Why? Because tech isn’t their end all be all. It’s an addition to the overall company. Healthcare, hospitals, retail, education, GOVERNMENT (I bet a lot of y’all forgot that States and cit

How often does ERO hire? I’ve seen like one announcement for the last 2-3 years, and they’re up for like 8 hours only

I’m still pretty new to my current MOS, but I wanted to get some information on how to drop a 17C packet. I’m looking at doing it once I hit 1 year at my current unit(earlier if possible), but I haven’t been able to find information on how to drop a packet for 17C while search the internet or even looking on USCYBERCOM’s website. Do I need to take the ICTL(army cyber test) before I even drop a packet? I don’t want to ask my leadership anything about this yet until I’ve at least hit my 7-12 months in the unit(they’re great, but just don’t want them to feel like I am gonna be abandoning them since I’m the only one of my MOS in my shop, so I wanna wait before asking these questions directly to
