I'm working on a turn based game, and I've ran into a roadbump trying to get everything connected.
As an example, the main character strikes an enemy with a sword - on top of some calculations and variable changes, that plays an animation, a red number pops up above their head, maybe a hurt sound gets played. Then that enemy's HP drops to zero, so they play an animation and slowly fade away. The game also sees that was the last enemy, so it wants to end the fight, play a sound of its own and show some rewards.
All the parts here are quite easy to do, but how do you combine all of said parts into one cohesive chain reaction? How do you ensure they each get their time in the spotlight, with
Hello everyone. I recently bought a Pixel 8 (after Google took the life of my 4a), and for the most part I've been really happy with the purchase.
But the one thing that bothers me is the camera performance. Every time I try to take a photo, the colors are off. They tend to look gray and washed out compared to reality.
However, it doesn't always do it. Sometimes it will show the right colors, but then I'll move or rotate the phone a bit, and it'll shift to the colder tones again, and I can't nail down the "trick" to it.
I recorded a video that illustrates the problem https://imgur.com/iJqjK1g
This happens on both the back and front camera, and it happens in
Hey all, I'm interested in playing GW1 after hearing many good things over the year, and I plan to pick up the Trilogy on Steam.
My question is, since EotN appears to be a separate purchase, what's the "best" time to buy it? From my quick research it appears to be locked behind level 10, so I wouldn't be missing out on anything for the first X hours of the game. It's cheap, but I'd like to wait for the next sale if possible in case I end up not liking the base game or something.
I've been playing this game for about 10 years, and I never noticed before that some items have two dye channels! I feel embarassed, because the second circle on the icon is like, very obvious. Five expansions, and it took until Dawntrail release for me to realize. I have no idea how it eluded me for so long, haha!
Anyone else spotted anything new recently?
New jobs are one of the highlights of each expansion, and while usually we get a new DoW/DoM, probably because they generate a lot more hype, new professions are not uncommon to see in other MMOs. Could XIV get a new one after over 10 (13) years?
The main problem is probably the design space, the current jobs cover most bases pretty well, so do you think there's any niche a potential new crafter/gatherer could take care of?
Personally, Alchemist seems pretty lacking in terms of techy stuff, so we could see an Artificer. There's also Bonecraft job that existed in FF11. And while meat and skins can be farmed already, I think Rancher could find a place, if we consider the nature of Fisher job
