Four words that convey all the info, with the first one signaling who you are addressing.

SLs & FTLs are probably busy doing their own thing, if you say stuff like "Can I have FTL, please?" you have three people opening the fullscreen map and tryinig to figure out who "I" was, possibly asking again on Squad Channel, clogging comms. If you directly say Bravo/Charlie the other FTL can ignore the call. If you say [Your Name], they know exactly who to pass it to, making the whole thing a 1 second process.

If you're in Alfa: "SL, (can you give) Bravo or Charlie to [Your Name], please?" By clearly addressing the SL and mentioning both Bravo and Charlie you indicate that you're in Alfa. Why n

Attention Squaddies,

Squad has changed a lot since our launch in early access in late 2015 and so has the player base and the surrounding community. We must sadly admit that as Community Team, we have not been able to keep up with the needs of this ever-growing and evolving community, especially with the onboarding of new players.

At the beginning of March our Director of Community SgtRoss listed some of the pain points we had identified and back in 2022 we wrote about our commitment to improve new player onboarding. With all the great feedback we have received since then, we are now prepared to share with you some of the specific changes with which we aim to improve the new player

It is of use to exactly no one.

The update fundamentally changes how squad is played on many levels and everybody is going to have a different personal vision for each of those levels and a different opinion on each of the many things they changed.

We can choose to discuss in a civil way to find common ground and help improve on the current state or just shit on each other for some quick internet points.

Please leave that toxic clickbaity mentality at joinsquad.

Our heating broke and temperatures dropped, so I left Squad running over night. The main menu kept my GPU at a steady 92% utilization, even rising my room temperature 2-3 ºC over the night!

Thank you OWI!

Hey, with the amount of fixes comming with 1.5.4 I'm thinking of trying another playthrough.

Last time I played (late April) I used some mods for xp gains & smithing stamina, to make the grind more bearable. Are those still needed? What are other QoL/utility mods that you use/would recommend?

Also, important question: do sieges now somewhat work?

Thanks to all in advance!!

Why is this not a hardcoded thing yet?

Over the last weeks myself and others, have experienced proxy HABs being taken down within a very short time when admins are in the opposing team. The only way to prove abuse right now is to take a whole game AFK on their team monitoring their movement. This is impractical when you don't even know who from that clan has admin powers.

Hardcoding a server message that let's you know who are on admin cam uppon connecting and who gets/leaves admin cam during the match could go a really long way of preventing cheating.

Yes, some other cheaters may know that there is an admin looking and stop cheating to avoid get caught, but is this such a bad thing?
