So, unfortunately, I drink about 2 big “shots” of whiskey to kick the evening off, then usually a case of beer.

7 days a week. Every single day.

I went to treatment last June and it was great but I relapsed after 84 days and have been back at it

To start stepping down; what’s a realistic number of beers (no hard alcohol) to start? A number where I’m not setting myself up for instant failure; or horrible sweats and anxiety

Thanks y’all

Was wondering if anyone had gone this route. I went to rehab in June, relapsed in early October and am so sick. Can’t hold any fluids down, can’t eat, just totally dependent again

I have shitty insurance so I paid for my rehab on my own (26k) so that’s not an option again.

Cheers

36 year old male. Egregious alcoholic since age 20.

This summer I finally said “I can’t do it anymore” and went to the best rehab in NC. My crappy insurance covered $0 so I had to pay $26k out of pocket

So obviously I can’t afford to go back.

Relapsed on 9/24 and have been burning the candle at both ends ever since.

I’m so lost. I had almost 3 months and pissed it away and now I’m fully addicted again. Shakes, racing thoughts etc

Not sure where I am “going” with this post but god damnit; alcoholism is the worst. It is no joke

I feel like a prick

I Want To Stop Drinking

My best friend’s wedding is this Saturday. I’m an alcoholic of 16 years and have an opportunity to go to a great treatment center. I need to go. My body is shutting down

What helped you not feel such guilt in times like these?
