I have noticed that during into and ad sections of podcasts on Spotify now, a ‘skip’ button is now present. Does anyone else find this a little odd given that Spotify previously (half-heartedly) removed our ability to skip forward during podcast ads but now seems to encourage it? I’m not complaining but it seems a little odd, the only explanation I can think of is that it was designed to only skip intros and not the ads, but doesn’t work properly, like most things on the app. Or that Spotify only cares about the ads it serves (which were the ones for which fast forwarding was originally restricted, rather than in-built ads which show as part of the podcast’s runtime, which it now prompts one

(UK) Just noticed auto deleted finished podcasts is finally functioning again after just not working for like three months. Kinda baffles me how these things manage to just not work for so long.
anyone else having any issues with this? i can’t download or play any pickaxe podcast on spotify, it just loads forever (i’ve tried triforce, yomp, and zero degrees)
i have always been a but surprised at how cheap these sweets are, I just got 400g for 1.75€ (at intermarché no less!) which is cheaper by weight than pretty much anything else on the aisle, including non-branded options. as far as i know, they’re somewhat seen as a “primary” sweet in france, so i believe as part of some kinda soft-power/cultural push they’re subsidised. however, due to the france-prussian war, the french govt is wary of openly subsidising a german company (haribo) so it has to be done secretly. it’s possible that inflation has forced the increase in this subsidy, causing the govt to cut pensions to mask the overall change in expenditure
that was pretty funny. i now feel safe to admit i played it but that was a weird time in this sub
i don’t really have the encyclopaedic knowledge of apprentice seasons to confidently say this, but has anyone else noticed they seem to have shown shots of the city of london more than canary wharf/that pyramid-topped building (in which the boardroom is “meant” to be happening (?)) this season? normally we would be shown an orbiting view of that pyramid building before the boardroom, but it’s quite a few times they’ve shown the city instead ?
Hello. I have tried to use the Proton compatibility tool to run Civ V in order to use mods. However, whenever I launch the game using this option, it doesn't save any changes to settings and I have to agree to the EULA every time (I have no issues when using the default non-Proton setting). Every time the game lauches, it says "updating executable", which also seems odd. I think it must be some kind of issue with the reading/writing of the config files, but saves do work which are stored in the same area. Does anyone know what could be the cause of this issue? Thanks

reddit.com/gallery/1h4ssckA couple of weeks ago my laptop's (Acer SF314-511) display stopped working (without anything specific happening that I remember could have caused it). When a torch is shone on the screen, the display is visible, very faintly, which I understand is meant to point towards a backlight issue. I have tried changing the in-built screen but it still does not work. The laptop works fine with an external screen, and seems to be able to detect the internal screen. The camera, which uses the same 30-pin connector as the screen, still works. Anyone know what the cause of this could be? Thanks!
