I’m looking for an interesting piece to serve as a pendant material

I’ve considered materials like meteorite/pallasite/olivine at first, but I saw someone posting about agatized dinosaur bones and it made me realize I’m not very knowledgeable about potentially cool fossilized options, or other interesting materials I’m simply unaware of.

Early on I’d weighed options like Montana Sapphires and heavily included (salt and pepper if you prefer that re-branding), but at the size I’d be looking for (3-5 carats) these stones can get pricy and I’m curious if there’s some other exotic materials out there I could spend that type of money on instead.
