Rule 403.1 says you must recycle the card to the bottom of your deck.

157.2.b when a rune is recycled it is RETURNED…to the rune deck.

Floating is not returning because you cannot return none tangible items.

  1. when a card says to “recycle” why did my opponent instead floated the card? This isn’t the same thing as removing the card from play as stated in rule.

  2. Not only did they float a rune that was meant to be recycled, they also used it as an energy cost for a react spell.

Power cost and energy cost are two separate things.

Power requires recycling.
Energy requires you to exhaust the card.

  1. If one card is capable of giving me 2 energy by way of floating then wouldn’t

Like a lot of you I too am new to this. Unfortunately, I'm growing frustrated with this game.

Why is it that a player can do something one game and explain it with references then when I do it to a player they tell me I can't which is based on their references. (nobody refers to the actual rule book btw)

When googling the rules, instead of being pointed directly to the riftbound rule book you are led to reddit posts of people not citing any of the rule numbers they are explaining. I believe this is causing a lot of confusion allowing players to nitpick where they get their information if it benefits them. I've also noticed that googles AI uses reddit posts to explain rules which is te

I moved Miss Fortune (captain) with the gear Last Rites attached, to an open battlefield and my opponent promptly played a reaction card. After that chain resolved MF was still standing, it is to my understanding that Last Rites ability resolves now unless they activate another reaction speed card, right? Apparently, this was not the case as my opponent played an action speed card and told me my ability does not activate because he/she kills MF beforehand. Again, to my knowledge in order to do this the card has to read REACTION (Play anytime even BEFORE spells and abilities activate.)

I did a quick skim of the rules, and it do say that the opponent c

I had to go to work before I got to defeat him but after a few retries I discovered he’s weak against the kaioken rush attack. He also gets tired if you hit him with a kameha when his ki is low that’s when you activate the kaioken rush attack. Dodging him seems pointless because he’s gets behind you quick.

If you’re pre blocking he’s going to hit you as soon as you lift you finger to attack.

He also well use his telekinetic attack to stall you if you engage in hand to hand combat.

  2. Spam Kamehameha waves
  3. Do not engage in hand to hand combat
  4. As soon as he is about to launch hi attack dodge power up and launch and other wave
