Hey all,
My child (8yo) is going to resident camp for a couple days this summer. I'm going with him. I'm wondering if anyone has recommendations for packs/bags for kids that age. I know that parking at this camp is far enough that we will have to carry our stuff for a bit, and due to busyness of arrivals I don't want to rely on getting an opportunity to drive into our site.
I was a scout, but kiddo has only ever been car camping. We have not had hike into a site, so we have never gotten a proper kid-sized pack for camping. Any suggestions for solutions here? Any parents/cubmasters with success/failure stories I could learn from? If I can avoid buying a pack that my kid will grow out of, th
I'm trying to find a model for something that I'm sure exists, but can't find it and I'm hoping that someone will know of a model I can print.
For my daily meds I use a pill organizer, but I find filling it to be a pain. I often drop 2 pills into one compartment and then have to spend a bunch of time fishing things out.
Is there any kind of model where I can drop in a handful of pills into a hopper, and then push a button (or something) to have one pill dispensed at a time? Or something similar? I know there are candy dispensers and the like, but I couldn't find anything that matched my use case easily.
I have a blood draw scheduled for a lab test (BMP), the instructions on the order indicate non-fasting.
If I end up fasting anyway, is that a problem? The draw is first thing in the morning and I wouldn't get my coffee or breakfast until afterwards anyway, but I don't want to impact the accuracy of the test.
Normally my annual labs are fasting and it isn't a problem but this is outside that normal routine and I want to be sure.

Does anyone have any recommendations for people who do good and affordable work on car electrical systems? I have a car which has some minor electrical issues to track down and if it turns out to be above my skill level, I'm hoping there is a good specialist who can do stuff around here.
Hey all,
A colleague is selling a '97 Z3 1.9 manual, 177k miles, asking 4,250USD (I'm planning to negotiate a bit).
Only noted issues are some cosmetic damage to some panels, and the radio not working (not sure yet if it's just the head unit or a more serious electrical issue). I'm going to check it out tonight and already have a bit of a list to look at and ask about (mainly structural integrity, rust, and cooling system history). I would be grateful for any advice on what else to look for or where you'd end up on price for this car.
I know there aren't any pics attached here, honestly the ones on FB marketplace aren't very revealing- you can see some scratches in the paint and the to
I'm curious about people's thoughts on this- with the seeming prevalence of Tolarian Terror, is there enough reason to consider [[Chainer's Edict]] over [[Cast Down]] as a sideboard option.
Having seen the June 13-15 weekend report and how [[Tolarian Terror]] looked to be more common than in the past, I'm thinking about making this adjustment. Edict would get around the ward issue, but it would require clearing the rest of the board too. Cast Down gets the creature as long as you have the extra mana.
I'm not considering the flashback on Edict very strongly in this equation, because 7 mana is a heck of a lot to recast this. it could be a benefit in a late game situation, but I'm not sure h
I'm running into a question that I can't get a straight answer from in the gatherer rulings.
Let's say I have a [[Firebrand Archer]] in play and I've cast 4 spells in my turn (giving me 4 damage to each opponent). Then, I cast [[Impact Resonance]]. I can't figure out if this gives me X=4, or X=1.
The gatherer rulings do make it clear that it only counts a single source of damage and a single permanent/player, however I can't figure out if Impact Resonance looks at the greatest single instance of damage dealing, or if it will see cumulative damage dealt to a single permanent/player in a turn.
Specifically in the incidence of upset users following mods around to other communities to harass them? In my situation, a user was upset that I banned them, and followed me to an unrelated community to tell me "suck my dick, simp"
Despite their account being actioned for harassment immediately in modmail, somehow that post was deemed by the safety team to "not violate the rules".
How is such obvious harassment not considered a rules violation? I've encountered this issue several times and I'd be interested in hearing from admins why mids are expected to just take this harassment without any support?
Hi all, sorry in advance if this is something obvious. I was a referee for my local rec league (US) about 20 years ago, and today I ended up down an internet rabbit hole that ended up with thinking about an old situation I encountered. I don't think I made the wrong call then, but with the newer rules I wonder if the same call would still be correct today.
The situation happened at midfield(ish), the attacker was dribbling the ball and a defender came over, tripped, and their outstretched hand/arm landed immediately on top of the ball, stopping it completely and preventing an opportunity to attack. I'm convinced it was unintentional on the defender's part (these were kids and the kid wasnt
Hey all,
Many communities are banning links to Twitter (I refuse to call it that other stupid name). We don't really have any Twitter links posted here, so for us there haven't been any noticeable changes or effects from a Twitter ban.
All that said, Elon Musk is a Nazi. I don't use that comparison lightly, here's a comparison of his and Hitler's salutes, they're basically identical. Because he's a stupid fucking Nazi, anything from his platform is not welcome here. Automod will be updated shortly, and anything that gets around automod will be removed manually.
Does anyone have recommendations for a good tablet/phone repair place in the area? I have an iPad which needs a new screen and before I go to Apple I'm wondering if there's anyone around here who does affordable and good work.
I see there's a place in Mohawk Commons, does anyone have experience with them and Apple devices?
