I had abandoned Reddit but, now that I'm back, I might as well see if this once-great community can be revived!

I was searching Google for "melodic space ambient" and came across what someone called "Deep Melodic Space Ambient." It got me wondering: what makes a song/album/genre "deep" instead of just regular depth, especially as it relates to melodic space ambient?
The first North Texas Fleet Feet store will open on Plano's Preston Towne Crossing retail center.
I ran after work yesterday, as I usually do on Tuesdays. It was the first time I had run after work since Daylight Saving Time ended and I was running in the dark toward the beginning of my run, as opposed to last Tuesday when it didn’t turn dark until the end of the run.
It felt so much more difficult than last Tuesday's run! I was running 30-45 seconds per mile slower than I had the week before. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary as far as energy, hydration, lack of sleep, stress, etc. It seemed to be just a regular Tuesday run after work. I began wondering how I had lost two months of fitness overnight.
There might have been several contributing factors to last night's slowdown: One, n
I hope everyone is safe and sound after last night's severe weather. Here's this week's racing calendar:
I am registered for the Irving Marathon's half-marathon race on 3/28/2020. I decided that I wanted to incorporate a tune-up race into my training schedule, so I am also registered for the Cowtown Marathon 10K on 2/29/2020.
Those of you who have done tune up races prior to a half marathon, how did you run them? I can't decide whether to race it or just run it comfortably hard as a workout at goal half marathon pace. With it being four weeks out from my primary goal race, I figure either way would be beneficial. I just want to get tips and suggestions -- what has and hasn't worked for you?

runnersworld.com/runners-stories/a29417757/el...With race start time temperatures in the mid-40s this Saturday, fall racing season is finally upon us!
This question goes out to running group/club leaders: what are your ideas for conducting indoor group runs during thunderstorms when there’s the very real risk of lightning strikes and/or flash floods and it’s too dangerous to run outdoors? I’m not trying to force these indoors runs on the group. Cancelling is always an option. I’m just looking for help to come up with creative solutions for those who would rather keep running than cancel a scheduled group run.
This is what I've come up with:
-
Buying day passes and taking over the treadmills in a community recreation center or fitness center for an hour or two is a safe but boring (and most likely overcrowded) solution.
-
I've run solo
With race start-time temperatures below 70° F in the forecast for this Saturday, it's looking more and more like fall. That's also reflected in the race calendar, with three half-marathons, six 10Ks and 27 5Ks from which we can choose.
