Claude Code was like basically like, "type quit when you've closed the app test window"... so I was like. Of course sir! Let me just > quit
Claude Code just Alt + F4'd me and I fell right for it LOL
iOS 27 saves your full Siri conversations and syncs them to iCloud. Private Cloud Compute doesn't cover that copy.

bensimon.devTLDR: Apple's privacy pitch for the new Siri leans on Private Cloud Compute. Requests processed there aren't stored or accessible to Apple, and it's independently audited. PCC doesn't cover where your conversation actually lives on-device.
When I pushed Siri on it, it told me Apple "can and does provide this data to law enforcement."
From Apple's own pages:
- The iOS 27 Siri app keeps your full conversation history and "uses iCloud to privately sync" it across your devices. Apple says "privately," not "end-to-end encrypted," which is the phrase it uses when it means it can't read something.
- On standard iCloud protection, which is the default, Apple holds the keys to your backups, and i

bensimon.devEvery time I'm done building a plan Claude or I will say it's ready to "drain". I've used this term with other devs and they have no idea what I'm talking about. I thought it was a normal thing to say for a long time. I asked Claude and it said it thinks we made it up at some point. We've been using it since 2025. 🤦♂️
I can't tell you the number of times I've listened to an "expert" I worked with who could comment endlessly on a topic but never got any work done. There is no difference with devs leveraging AI and it drives me crazy. The ones who actually built stuff others use, continue to do so after adopting even poor AI practices.
The annoyance for me this week was attending a ClaudeAI training the AI evangelist/expert just went on and on about the amazing things they'd done to develop their elaborate harness only to show us their stinking TESTproject. They haven't built a single app with real users with Claude. Ever. I messaged him later to see if I could help show some of my recent projects next w
